The public was pretty tough on Jessica Simpson before her pregnancy, never mind during, when she gained a reported 70 pounds. And now that she's trying to lose the baby weight, people aren't being much nicer ... except for Hugh Hefner's ex Kendra Wilkinson.
"That just breaks my heart," Wilkinson, 27, tells omg! from Yahoo!. "I feel for her. I was in the same boat. People just need to mind their own business. That's a woman who just gave birth. Her first priority right now is her child. Her first priority is not losing the weight. You should be proud of her for that. A lot of people just dump their kids off at nannies and lose the weight overnight. We should all be proud of her for being real and taking control and making priorities."

Well said, Kendra! The star of WE tv's "Kendra on Top" has talked openly about the 60 pounds she gained after giving birth to baby Hank in 2009, and her postpartum depression. "I looked in the mirror and I said, 'I'm fat,'" Wilkinson told ABC News last year.
We're sure Jessica will be in fighting form again in no time ... but in the meantime, do you think people are too hard on her? And is there too much pressure on celebs (and women in general) to stay skinny after having a baby?

birdie1224 2012/07/13 20:49:41Yes, she JUST had a baby.+19Society puts so much pressure on women to be skinny. For goodness sake she has a newborn. They need all the attention they can get. Let her be she"ll lose the weight on her own time but raising her child is a top priority than being skinny

it must be difficult to be under a microscope during every part of your life and i for one wouldn't like it.
this is a tough time for most women... right after having a child... your body doesn't bounce back as quickly as you'd like it to and if your focus is on the baby and not the gym, it's ok w/ me.. just not Hollywood
"People should just mind their own business" true and that should also be applied to sorry to add a different subject but reproductive rights also.
You're both clueless. Some women don't gain that much weight, some women do.
