While those curious about the inner workings of the recording industry are excited to pick up music mogul Clive Davis’ memoir, one pop star isn’t likely to shell out cash for a copy anytime soon. “The Soundtrack of My Life” had barely hit bookshelves this week when Kelly Clarkson took to her blog to clear up what she claims are misrepresentations in the tome.

The first “American Idol” winner got straight to the point saying, “I just heard Clive Davis is releasing a memoir and spreading false information about me and my music. I refuse to be bullied and I just have to clear up his memory lapses and misinformation for myself and for my fans.”
The Grammy-winner went on to say that she felt it was a “violation” that Davis said she was “hysterical sobbing” when he forced her to release “Since You’ve Been Gone.” She says their disagreement was simply about creating a bigger sound on the production.

Clarkson admits that there were tears once, when Davis belittled her writing abilities over her future hit “Because of You.” While some might find it hard to go head-to-head with a music legend, clearly that’s not an issue for the 30-year-old singer. But maybe her success in the industry speaks for itself. What do you think: Are you team Kelly or Team Clive?

the whole story or not, she stood up to clive.
....and she was right about her song.....
so naturally she gets my vote ! ♥
business end of her career but she looks like a smart cookie.
the business part of her career.
I'm off to get some more work done. I'll be seein' ya again real soon!!
Her quality voice is hard to find. Enjoy the weekend. Talk soon.:-)
Only ask because of her drug issues & the overdose that killed her
Whitney Houston was known for a lot of things. Great voice at one time, and then her tragic downfall with drugs. When you compare Kelly to Whitney, I was just curious if you were implying she was a drug user or a singer with a great voice. No need to get snippy.
