Kelly Clarkson has announced that she is engaged via her Twitter account. She posted a message for her fans on Saturday, informing the world that her boyfriend of one year, Nashville talent manager Brandon Blackstock, has proposed to her.

Clarkson wrote “I'M ENGAGED!!!!! I wanted y'all to know!! Happiest night of my life last night!” and added “I am so lucky and am with the greatest man ever."

She also posted a picture of the ring after multiple requests from fans. It’s dominated by a huge yellow canary diamond and several smaller diamonds.

It seems that she saw this coming a while back. When she was a guest on “Ellen” last month, she said "we are totally going to get married. We love each other. We are totally going to get married one day."

Do you think that Clarkson’s marriage will last?

The marriage, no. As with most of "Hollywood", it's a given that the relationship will end in divorce. Nothing like fame to put an end to a relationship. If I were a Hollywood, I'd never get married. What's the purpose? It's only a matter of time before it's splitsville.
