With all these pop stars dancing around to the same beats, using the same progressions and the same bass lines in every song until it all sounds like one big wad of bubblegum on the sidewalk, it's nice to know someone is taking the time to perfect her craft.
The only problem is, that someone is Ke$ha.
Ke$ha says she wants to "reinvent" the pop wheel and lead us into 2012 with a restored vision.
By the way, this is the same girl who asked fans to send her their teeth so she could wear them as jewelry, and claimed to make clothes out of roadkill.
She told The Calgary Herald, "I want to take enough time to make sure it's the reinvention of pop music. That's the ultimate goal, to reinvent pop music. So I'm planning on taking as much time as I need, but May sounds about right."
That was also her explanation for why the next album is running late. It was supposed to be out by the year's end, but is now slated for a May release.
But don't worry, it will all be worth it in the end. In fact, she's going to reinvent pop so hard it will eventually turn into rock.
She said, "I definitely could see that happening in my future. With the evolution of my next record that I'm working on right now, and just meeting people like [Alice Cooper], and meeting Robert Plant -- those are the people that I listen to."
That's one way of doing it.

Stupid+9It might be admirable if it was coming from someone who has talent, but since Kesha doesn't, it just seems like something to get publicity.

entire genre. There are three ways to reinvent a genre:
1- Do something completely different with your vocal
stylings, like using a pitch or key that is never used but do it well.
2- Have a different sound and musical influence behind it, like if the world was full off bubblegum pop that uses lots of computered beats have a rock/country style that uses lots of instruments.
3- Create an image that has never been before and
then use that to slowly introduce 2 and/ or 1 into the world.

Most people who say she isn't talented are close minded, and ignorant. They live their life off judging people in a negative way, without going further into Ke$ha's discography. Ke$ha is trashy, yes. but what about that girl singing on Goodbye in acoustic with out auto tune? She's definitely got something got something going for her. I think she will have longevity in the industry, because, this next album will be rock inspired, and the next after that will be something different. People who change it up and aren't generic always last in the industry. She loves thinking of new muses, and once she's old enough she wants to release a country album. Though she is no vocal power house, she has a sweet soft country acoustic voice that she'll end up showing the world soon enough.
Besides, people like Britney Spears are as fake as it gets, not writing your own ...

Besides, people like Britney Spears are as fake as it gets, not writing your own music and lip syncing like Britney does. Ke$ha is way better, and off topic, but Ke$ha plays the guitar extremely well too. Ke$ha would be an un successful generic pop singer, just another blonde that could sing, if she entered the industry any other way. I love her personally, I have hope she will have longevity. :)
2. Everything Kesha does is stupid.
Stockings aren't pants.
I quake with fear at the thought of her 'reinvented pop'.
Girl Generation much better
The world would be a better place if more girls were down with that. I mean.. I'm just lookin' for some tush, 'cause I'm a beer drinker and a hell raiser, all the while a vi-vi-vi-vibrato-
Oh, sorry, I just got caught up in quoting songs from famous and much-loved rock/metal/every other music bands and artists that are about sex and getting drunk.
But hey. Somehow, as soon as a pop star or crappy commercial rapper has lyrics about it, it's not good at all and we are too smert fer dat. Morons.
