Katy Perry Wants to Take a 'Healing' Holiday: Is She Better Off Without Russell Brand?

Love hurts ... Katy Perry is reportedly planning a three-month "healing" holiday to recover from her divorce from Russell Brand, just four days after the split was finalized on Monday.

"Ever since Katy split from Russell in December, she's been saying she wants to get away from everything and truly heal her heart," a source reportedly told Heat magazine. "Katy's said she wants to jet off to a place where she's never been. She's planning a three-month vacation with her brother David and one of her best pals. They've provisionally booked a trip to South America, starting off in Peru and doing the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu -- something Katy's always wanted to do."

Katy is reportedly dating Florence + The Machine guitarist Rob Ackroyd, and Russell Brand confirmed this week that he's dating Isabella Brewster. But he says he still loves Katy. "I was very happy to be married with her. She's such a beautiful human being and I just have only love and positivity for her," he recently told Ellen DeGeneres.

However, he wasn't quite so polite in a Howard Stern interview, when Stern asked Russell if he was back to his old sex addict ways. "If you've been on a diet of rice for a while and suddenly Willy Wonka asked you to take over the factory," he said, "you'd be kicking over barrels of candy and swimming in a chocolate river." Ouch.

    You can't blame her. People have been in relationships like that, fame and all that stuff is not helping, but her taking a vacation away from that is a good idea. A lot of people have gone through something like that, you can't blame her.

    Okay somebody double slap her PLEASE she's giving him way too much credit, its over and she's driving herself into insanity over the matter, she dose'nt need a healing holiday,she needs a psychiatrist, something thats really goimg to help her deal with this, cause she definitely isn't handling it herself. and after treatment go on the healing holiday, but she needs to learn how to deal with the ending of relationships, because it may happen again, it may not but she needs to learn how to let go.

    Certain types of guys who are just social landmines for anyone, yet some stay with them far too long and sometimes returning on an emotional whim over any reason. You know their names better than I and could easily call out a dozen popular names who are social lepers who pass on injury, drug addiction and death to those they hold in their clutches. We know the womens' names, like Rhianna, Whitney and other who were not celebrities. Some survive, some escape, some die. Whether Brand is a danger I don't know, but the need for an extended break for healing is a sign that Brand just needs to fade away and let Katy get on with her life. Anyone who does a Jeckyll and Hyde routine in two or more interviews deserves to be isolated from all the female population.

    I like them both But she can do MUCH better then him. He is not the kind of guy you can 'take home to meet the parents'. He is the 'bad BOY' that you go out with to have a good time and is somebody you don't settle down with.
