Katy Perry has had a charmed life. Not only is the 27-year-old rich, beautiful and talented with a body to die for, her "Teenage Dream" album matched Michael Jackson's Hot 100 record for the most number one songs off a single album. Nevertheless, she's kinda sick of being famous.
Asked by Teen Vogue if she ever sees herself "getting tired of being famous," Katy responds, "I'm tired of being famous already! But I'm not tired of creating. Fame is, I think, just a disgusting by-product of what I do. It's quite a delicate creature -- it's a wild animal of sorts. It can love you, and then it can attack you. I still want to be as approachable and relatable as possible -- when I meet fans and they're crying, I'll say, 'Calm down, there's nothing to cry about.'"
"Disgusting," eh? Well, in other parts of the interview, Katy seems refreshingly down to earth. "I don't need to grind it into anyone's head that I'm popular. If you like my music, great, and if you don't, whatever. I'm going to keep making it either way," she says.
And her success comes with hard work, which she wants to reveal in her upcoming movie. "I think sometimes [people] look at me and wonder, How is it possible that she continues to have this kind of success? Why are the stars so aligned for her? But, while that is a factor, it's not the whole story. I also work my tail off!"

Katy Perry+22Tired of the fame? Really? And that's why you wear over the top outfits and are still producing music videos? Just quit if you don't like it, people WILL forget you, you aren't these guys:

For instance, Angelina Jolie has helped thousands of people in africa thanks to her fame and fortune and have all but pretty much disappeared from the limelight. Then there are those that fell into the other category.
So yeah, I agree with you ^_^
I can understand the "poor little rich girl" response, but I think it's childish and lacks a deeper understanding and empathy. When celebrities like Katy Perry are still doing things to stay in the spotlight, it's one thing. But I can't think of anything Angelina or Brad have done in a while that merits being constantly spied on. Sometimes, when you're done, you're done, and I can understand the desire to resume a normal life.
I also sort of understand what Katy Perry means about fame being a nasty by-product. In some cases, if you're talented at what you love to do, and what you love to do is sing or act, you can't help drawing the spotlight to yourself. And in other cases, maybe you thought you wanted to be famous only to realize it's not what you thought, but it's too late. Once you're famous, you're famous. I really do understand the "boo hoo, cry me a river" response, but it sounds a lot like sour grapes.
They need to be grateful they have fans and got millions in their pockets. STFU!!!
...
Yup.
Still rings true.
They should just stop complaining and be thankful they're not unemployed. More than half on the list probably won't even be remembered in 5 years.
Just my thoughts, universe. Nothing more, nothing less.
So many who would give anything to be in the same place as she is and she's whining about it? Come on, seriously.
Maybe she should have thought about the fame associated with becoming an artist before actually doing so. -.-
Wait... HOLY CRAP KRISTEN STEWART IS SMILING IN THAT PICTURE!!!!
IT MUST BE PHOTOSHOP THERE'S NO OTHER EXPLANATION!!!!!!!!!
