Katy Perry has had a charmed life. Not only is the 27-year-old rich, beautiful and talented with a body to die for, her "Teenage Dream" album matched Michael Jackson's Hot 100 record for the most number one songs off a single album. Nevertheless, she's kinda sick of being famous.

Asked by Teen Vogue if she ever sees herself "getting tired of being famous," Katy responds, "I'm tired of being famous already! But I'm not tired of creating. Fame is, I think, just a disgusting by-product of what I do. It's quite a delicate creature -- it's a wild animal of sorts. It can love you, and then it can attack you. I still want to be as approachable and relatable as possible -- when I meet fans and they're crying, I'll say, 'Calm down, there's nothing to cry about.'"

"Disgusting," eh? Well, in other parts of the interview, Katy seems refreshingly down to earth. "I don't need to grind it into anyone's head that I'm popular. If you like my music, great, and if you don't, whatever. I'm going to keep making it either way," she says.

And her success comes with hard work, which she wants to reveal in her upcoming movie. "I think sometimes [people] look at me and wonder, How is it possible that she continues to have this kind of success? Why are the stars so aligned for her? But, while that is a factor, it's not the whole story. I also work my tail off!"

Actually, I could have just as easily selected any of the other choices. If anyone is tired of fame, and that say as much, it's just a matter of time before they get that wish. The public is a very fickle and unforgiving entity. 10 years after she is no longer famous, she'll be lamenting her loss.

''Let me do everything I can while trying to stay acceptable to children for attention and to make covers of magaiznes by wearing meat. By the way, I hate all the attention my attention-whoring gets, I wish I wasn't famous.--So uh.. did anybody write that down to publish..? Please..?''

Maybe if you REALLY hated the fame you'd stop signing contracts and producing records to the masses. Pull a Zach De La Rocha, (Rage Against the Machine), and stop making music? Or hell, pull a Kurt Cobain.

And it's not like she is making music with being artistic in mind. It's mostly mindless garbage. Actually astoundingly un-thought provoking music.

Too long;Didn't read- Everything she does is to satisfy her need for attention. Even if saying ' I don't like being famous' will gain more fame, she'll say it.

PS- Even Bieber has had ridiculous accusations and potential law suits against him as a result of his fame.

He needs to stop saying that he should never have let Miley do Hannah Montanna. It was her life choice, and although there must have been downsides, it was a still is a large part of her life. He really needs to learn to respect his daughters career, and stop complaining about the press on behalf of her. She's 19. She has her own opinions now. Miley and Billy Ray Cyrus

If Billy Ray is saying he shouldn't have let her do Hannah Montana, I don't believe him for one second. He wanted his kid to be famous. He knew what he was doing and did it willingly. I think if he could really turn back time & change it, there's no way he'd turn down the money & the fame.

because well, he wont be famous for very long so he should take it while he can.

but there should be an 'all of the above' button, because if you are going to start acting or singing then you should know what you are getting yourself into and therefore not complain when it happens.

I never like to nit pick on any other celeb but the sad thing is I see Selena Gomez whining about fame she moves to different actors all the time, then I see a video of her being interviewed saying she is like everyone one else and wants to be normal. Justin Bieber on the other hand I haven't seen him complain or whine about fame, he just isn't ready for paparizzi to follow him around it bothers him, why else wouldn't he flipped the finger. He wants to be left alone, fame and all doesn't mean anything to him he wants to be left being happy and his fans being happy. I would have choose a Selena Gomez vote if there was one!

Being famous and not wanting to talk to the fans who keep your career out of the water is like being elected president and waking up morning realizing "Hmm I really hate wearing ties." It doesnt work like that.

Jim Carrey said it as well as I've heard it said, in my humble opinion : "You know, the problem with being me, is that nobody cares anymore. I could have a tumor growing out the side of my head, and everyone would say, a tumor ? big deal, I'd eat a tumor for breakfast every morning, if I was pulling down the money you're making" There's a price to fame and fortune, and that is ....everybody cares...and nobody cares...all at the same time. jim carrey

I can't believe she is smiling. I swear I saw shocked! She actually is smiling like what?! In all seriousness it's kind of sick how people make stars look like the dramatic beauty queen! If people would get their heads out of their butts and see that stars have problems too they actually might see fame has it's ups and downs so back the crud off of them and see the almost beauty of stardom

I am so tired of hearing people say Kristen doesnt smile. She smiles all the time. I have met her and she is one of the nicest, most down to earth people ever. She's said over and over she's just like us. She's a normal, regular person. She is so kind and giving to her fans, she would totally love to just go and hang out and chat. She's a fan of twilight just like her fans. She isnt able to donthat though because she and Rob ate mauled every where they go, theyake up lies like when Ron & Lindsey lohan were at the dame club, so they obviously must have had sex. Seriously? Just think if you had to walk around every day and read tabloids about how awful tou are or how your significant other is cheating on you or trying to eat dinner and photographers are jumping on your car. Why should she, or any of those people, give up what they love to di simply because we as a society need tO be involved in someone elses business?

o.o Exactly what makes it 'our right' to stalk someone just because they've done a press release? There's journalism and then there's stupidity. If they don't want to reveal bits about their private life that's completely up to them.

Privacy is a right and you can invoke that right whenever you so choose. Of course, it's impossible to take things back, but if you say, "Leave me alone." I personally would expect to be left alone. That or someone is going to get a baseball bat around their heads.

A stalker is a stalker. It doesn't matter whether they're the creepy guy down the street or a paid professional stalker. They are still stalkers and I don't agree with them. It's not in my interest and I very much doubt that finding out the colour of lady gaga's panties is a matter of life or death for society as we know it today.

    Public Interest...hah /rant.

I don't know what Kristen's issue with her fame is, but she really does seem to just detest it, because every picture, every news story, every interview, she just has this terrible, woe-is-me attitude. That's the reason I picked her. Because it isn't just a "I don't want to be famous" thing, it's a "my life is SO hard being this famous" kind of thing. On the other hand, I respect her opinion that it's like being raped, but I don't think she should have had to apologize.

No, I agree that I wouldn't. It's just that it's not just when she's dealing with fans. It's when she's acting on sets or when she's doing interviews or just talking to people. I've read articles that say she seems dour or has a bad attitude. Though I suppose there is the other hand in which people say kinder things about her too.

They all need to shut their pieholes and realize just how privileged they are to be rich and famous. You get paid boatloads of money to do what you love, and some idiots in society are going to pry into your life; get over it, or give your fame to someone else that will be more gracious of it.

Those who are wanting to be famous want to make a difference, its not currently about money all the time, but also to those who want to contribute as an actor/singer/model whatever to get out there besides act which ever to help others and inspire those if you have a dream chase after it. To helping those in third world countries who don't have a television or a home or to make planet earth a safer, healthier better place to live in!
