Katt Williams used to be known for his critically-acclaimed comedy act. Lately, he's been making headlines for his legal troubles — and now he's really in hot water. According to E! News, the actor/comedian was arrested Friday morning at his home on suspicion of child endangerment. That's no laughing matter.

Katt Williams Is Arrested for Child Endangerment

In recent months' he's had many run-ins with the law for gun violations, driving infractions, bar fights and more. Prior to his latest arrest, news broke that the IRS filed a whopping $4 million tax lien against him on December 18. On Friday, Williams was taken into police custody and was being held on $100,000 bail after police reportedly found illegal drugs and guns in the house he shares with his four children. After being released he admitted to TMZ that he had marijuana in the home and kept his firearms locked in a box.

Despite the fact that he's made it through 2012 with all of his other troubles, endangering a child might just be the last straw for him to end up doing jail time. It might also be a chance for him to finally get assistance for the problems that have tarnished what was at one point, a very promising career in comedy. Williams' highlight reel has gone from funny jokes to multiple mugshots. What do you think: Will this be the last straw?

If neither the drugs nor the guns were directly available to the child child endangerment is a stretch, and if it was only pot then he just needs to move to southern Colorado, he can afford it, and it isn't too cold on the southern side.

Marijuana? What legal grounds did they have to come to his home anyway? I hate the way the injustice system unfairly targets celebrities for petty things like this while there are serial-killer gang-banging crack dealers slinging dope in public. Celebrity D.A.'s and media circus trials are one of the worst things we allow in this country.

No! but I hope he will realize soon that he is damaging the people he loves and that he returns to the land of the living. Drugs are an escape but their continued use leads to a perminant escape in death or hopeless addiction. he is a good amn and deserves to be happy and with his children.

I think all these celebs get paid way, WAY too much and they don't know what to do with all the extra cash so they do stupid things that get them in trouble.

How do they get paid way WAY too much? They get the fair share of what the market will bear. Paying them less only means that the producers and other administrative costs will get the bulk of the money. If he can get it, he should! I would!

I've heard worse. Keeping some marijuana in your home for your own personal use, ain't the end of the world, and neither is keeping your firearms responsibly locked in a box. Where's the child endangerment?

Now if the report had said, he was sharing the marijuana with his kids, and the guns were loaded and left out in plain view, then yeah, maybe we have some child endangerment going on here, but from what I've read above, I don't see it. Maybe there's more to this story than what's written here, but if I had to judge from what I've read, I'd tend to believe that the late bad publicity from previous arrests have more to do with this than anything.

Great point... I see what you saying it sounds like he was being responsible when it came to the gun , hope he put the weed up , that may have been in his room, where the kids cant go after a certian time.

One thing I've learned in life, is we can hit rock bottom & still come back from it. We are very resillient & if we want it bad enough, we can fight our way back to the top, if we want it bad enough.

America always gives celebrities a pass on their criminal and unethical behavior.

Oh, BTW, Katt Williams now faces charges of illegal weapons possession.
  • pennie Fef 2013/01/02 19:07:51

maybe that's the problem not that the guns was locked up but that they was illegal.
