Katie Holmes isn't moping around after her divorce from Tom Cruise. On the contrary, she's "blissfully happy" just weeks after the split was finalized, a family insider tells RadarOnline.com.

"Katie is a new woman, she feels refreshed, free of Tom and doesn’t have a worry in the world," the source says, adding that Katie is enjoying spending time with her family, and having more control over her career.

"She’s been enjoying the company of her family a lot more, something she couldn’t really do when she was married to Tom. He controlled who she saw and he often wasn’t so approving of her family. Tom also influenced what movies she appeared in, so she was unable to steer her career in the way she wanted to."

And then there's the elephant in the room ... Scientology. "Scientology was a huge fear for Katie too," the source tells Radar. "She was raised a devout Catholic and never committed herself to it fully."

No, true Christianity is not. Two pseudo-christian cults come to your door trying to pander their religion. Biblical Christianity does not force anyone to join and does not control your life. I'm a member of a non-denominational Christian Church. They don't tell me who to spend my time with, what church to go to, what to eat, what to wear and what not to wear, to worship THEM instead of God, and other things. These are cult characteristics. Christianity in its true form is NOT any of these characteristics:

No, that's what the bible says. But it doesn't have to be that way. I'm not a "fundie" and never was. But the truth of the matter is that God made it clear that if people reject him then they will be forever separated from him. Why would God allow people into his kingdom who reject him, mock him and don't respect or believe in him? If that were the case every rapist, murderer, pedophile, prostitute and other vile offenders would get in no matter what they did. That's not how it works. People who don't want to be accountable for what they do and say automatically reject any teaching that tells us we're all sinners. Nobody wants to hear THAT. If we have accepted Christ, we have nothing to worry about. If we don't, then there are consequences. But to each his own. Everybody has a right to believe or not believe in something. The fundamentalists will be heavily judged for their judging of others. They are just as guilty as those they point fingers at. They send people away from God, not to him just by their attitudes. True Christianity is not that way and never will be.
Cults are very different than biblical Christianity. I've done alot of research and have studied many so-called "religions".

You have your opinion and the rest of us have ours. You don't have to believe anything you don't want to. I'm just explaining what happens as far as Christianity goes. The Buddhists don't believe in God. Their religion is more of a philosophy and a way of living than an actual religion. They have all kinds of statues and "idols" made of gold and other things. God said in the bible not to worship any other "god" before him. Many Jews have turned to Christ, and many more are beginning to do the same. My God teaches accountability and morality. Many of these other religions do not. But, that is everyone's own business. To each his own. I treat everyone the same no mattter who they are. I may not agree with their life choices, but it doesn't make me or any other Christian better than anyone. My God is a loving God, but he is also a God of judgment. Just like a parent who disciplines their children, God expects us to follow rules, or he disciplines us. I can't be perfect, but I do what I can, and if I mess up, I ask him to forgive me. But, that's my choice. I don't force my choices on anybody. The Jews of today deny Christ's deity. If they turn from that, they'll be in Heaven too.

My life has always been held to a high standard. I fell short of those standards and that was when I turned AWAY from God. Once I turned back to him, good things started happening. Things went better for me, and he definitely blessed me in more ways than one. I know I can count on him no matter what. People are fallible, God isn't. I'll trust him before I trust any person in the world. Some people will never see that and that is their choice. I choose the other, and I've never regretted it.

I don't need logic. I just need faith. Sometimes that means alot more. Man's logic is fallible in many ways too. God's isn't. Everybody has their own thing and that's ok.

Katie is so beautiful she never belonged with that screw ball. His days are over. Being in control of Katie and Nicole Kidman came around and bit him in the butt!! I would never watch another movie with Tom Cruse in it, I would get sick to my stomach.
I only wish Katie would put her daughter down and let her walk like a normal 6 yr. old instead of always carrying her.

Unlike Kim Kardashian, it really appears that Katie Holmes tried 100% to make her marriage work. It seems that she tried to please, including where Scientology was concerned. Obviously there were too many elements of control in this marriage, and Tom seems to have treated her like she was a kid, instead of a woman. I have never been in jail, but I can only imagine that when you're in a relationship that is stressful, and you can't seem to find a solution is like being in bondage. Now like a bird, she is free!

Katie deserves it the most. She was held prisoner by that sick creep. She is saving herself and her daughter, I couldn't be happier for her. It took me a lot longer to get my freedom so I know how she is feeling, there's nothing better.

Believe it or not he and his handlers interviewed about 4 woman for the part of being his wife. She actually had a crush on him forever. Don't try to read anything into it. She does not care about money and signed a prenup. He's a freaken weirdo. A total control freak.

Katie is the most happiest because she finally feels completely free and it shows whenever she's out with little Suri. Since they're now living in NYC, there's plenty to do, and they do everyday things a mother and young daughter should, going to the zoo, being in enrolled in art classes and ballet, dressing down, and she doesn't haven't to worry about Tom approving every little event. Meanwhile, Tom just showers her with gifts and luxury, something that turned Katie off. She seems very unpretentious. She wants to raise her the way she was raised. And, her religion is important to her, seeing as she went to parochial schools and wants Suri exposed to Catholicism versus Scientology which, forgive me, sounds like a bunch of bunk to me. They're both good parents and sharing Suri, which is the best thing they both can do.

A husband that would keep you from your immediate family, but only push his own on you, is bad news.

What's not to be happy about? Society labeled Tom a villain and her the victim. The split is going to give her career a much needed boost because of that. Until that label wears off and people realize why she need the boost all over again.

Katie was very young, Very sweet and very happy girl. I got the chance to meet her before she was famous when my son was accepted in the same acting school that she went in Seattle area. she was a teacher and was my son's teacher. I don't know 100% of their split, Tom maybe is paranoid as an actor and security of his family, but that is part of being an actor and actrice. if this is true, I wish both the best and they can find happiness. I don't think Tom is bad, but he is a very wanted man as actor and of course he needs to seek security and Katie was not custom to his security level, sad. I wish them enough
