In what may have been the fastest divorce in Hollywood history, Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes have already reached a settlement, just two weeks after Katie filed for the big D. To hear what Katie's attorney had to say about it, wait for the :15 mark in the video below!

As for Cruise, his attorney Dennis Wasser told People, "All the lawyers and the parties are happy that it's done, the deal was closed and we wish everyone well." TomKat's reps even came together for a joint statement regarding the couple's 6-year-old daughter Suri, who will reportedly live primarily with Katie, while Tom Cruise gets generous visitation rights.

"We are committed to working together as parents to accomplish what is in our daughter Suri's best interests. We want to keep matters affecting our family private and express our respect for each other's commitment to each of our respective beliefs and support each other's roles as parents." So is the phrase "respective beliefs" a reference to Cruise's religion, Scientology? We're thinking it is... How about you?

It's kind of annoying how everyone is talking about it like they know Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes personally. Seriously, you don't know these people, you just know what the media has told you and what they want for their image. Anything could have caused the divorce.

I am saddened that the sanctity of marriage has been tossed aside like old trash... And it's just OK to reside a child without being married... It is an old fashion notion

I meant to say Have a child outside of wedlock...suri was AT the wedding, and Kate signed a contact... Come on...what I don't get is how TOM could be completely blindsided... And this is the crazy part... I wasn't a big Tom cruse fan(except for Top Gun, of course) then he would do a movie like Last Samuri, Loved it, then Tropic Thunder, loved it, then Rock of Ages, Loved it... So, he is a person, that has feelings, and all the money in the world will not take the pain away... I wish him well and he finds peace (it's GOD), not Scientology, that's for sure

I do not know that much about Scientology, but that is what this country is about, freedom of religion and speech. It seems to work for him and Travolta, but I think Katie, obviously had trouble with it. To each their own. So long as it is not hurting anyone, who cares. Let each person seek God on their own. All religions are man made and have error as well as some truth. Just because we are wrong on many counts though, does not affect God or mean that He does not exist, just because we have it wrong. God is most important in my life and I choose not to wear a label because it is divisive. Let's all say perhaps and extend grace to one another. It is a One on one relationship if you are ope and will allow God to teach you. God has more mercy than we can imagine and we surely all need it.

Yes freedom to believe in religion even if it is all just a sham, as long as it doesnt hurt anyone, but that im not so sure of.

Oh yes, because people who are gay would certainly know. Just as we straight people can ALWAYS tell when someone is straight...which is why gay people are still coming out of the closet and surprising their friends and families....

While I appreciate the sentiment (however malicious it came across as) I don't want your prayers. Just because I'm not Catholic that doesn't mean that I'm going to 'hell'. And just because you're Catholic that doesn't make you better than anyone else. My only point was that no religion is better than another, everyone is entitled to their own personal beliefs.

Pray all you want, I honestly don't care. Seeing as I'm not Catholic I don't see how you saying a few words to your god can possibly affect me, therefore I don't really care.

See, that's the thing, you may not want the blessing, BUT I am able to still pray, THAT'S the GREAT thing about FAITH;-)
  • OnyxRaven patchulie 2012/08/18 09:51:22
    OnyxRaven
Well you can have as much faith in your religion as you like, because it's your personal belief, you're entitled to it and I'm entitled to mine.
  • OnyxRaven jason 2012/07/27 10:34:51

No religion has actually been fully proven, therefore there is no 'superior' church, because they're all equal - they are religions that consist of people that personally believe in them.
  • jason OnyxRaven 2012/07/27 13:14:53

You do not know what your talking about. Christianity has ben proven to be the one, true faith. God sent his son here as his last, great scarifice. The CHURCH was established by him. It's well documented. That CHURCH is headquarted in ROME. God chose ROME because it was the seat of world power at the time and well known as a pagan stronghold and the Lord KNEW that it would be ground zero for future persecution of it's followers. I suggest you read the church fathers to gain more knowledge. God Bless.
  • OnyxRaven jason 2012/08/11 02:19:22
    OnyxRaven
Actually I do know exactly what I'm talking about. If Christianity had been proven, then out of fear of their lives everybody would be Christian. No religion has been proven, there have been many theories and members of that church may believe it to be true, but nothing has been proven and this is why we allow everyone their own personal religious beliefs. The Bible was written by MAN, therefore there is no way of knowing for sure how much is fact and how much artistic licence has been taken, but I will leave you to your beliefs as you should leave others to theirs.
I suggest you stop believing everything the church tells you and try to keep a more open mind.

My mind has been open my entire life..thats what led me to the Church. You can believe as you choose, no one is trying to say otherwise. The fact is the Bible (Holy scriptures) were written with the guidance of the holy spirit, transcribed BY man. Prophesy has been fulfilled and now we are just witnessing more of the fall of man.
  • OnyxRaven jason 2012/08/18 09:53:47
    OnyxRaven
The Bible being written with the guidance of the holy spirit is not a fact, it's a belief, there's a very fine line between the two.
No offence, but a monkey with it's head up it's anus could have prophesied the fall of man, it was very obvious that it was coming, we're a self destructive species you see.
