Even though Maxwell is not a pretty name, it is really rude to say a baby's name reminds you of a sanitary napkin within ear or eye shot of her mother. I thought the name was going to be Latisha when I read the word, "napkin". You know how we laugh and joke about baby names around the kitchen table. But it is just plain RUDE to make a comment like that, publicly to millions of people. psssst, There is still time to change the name.

I kind of like Maxwell Drew. It has a nice ring to it. It would be better on a boy, but I also kind of like male names on females (Ryan is another I like). She will probably go by Drew, and that's feminine enough (I don't think I've ever heard of anyone picking on Drew Barrymore for her name).

It sounds nothing like a pad.

At first I was a little shocked by the first name of Maxwell for a girl but then discovered both of the names are the maiden names of relatives in the family. I love it. Our entire family has middle names that were maiden names of grandmothers and great grandmothers.
And it is none of Kathy Griffin's busniess.

Although it wouldn't surprise me if growing up other kids teased her by calling her "Maxi Pad" due to her name being Maxwell; and there's no real way to shorten it without possible teasing. Kids are cruel like that.

Still It's a rude thing to say seriously about a newborn.
