The trials and difficulties of being a megastar never cease. According to RadarOnline, "Titanic" star Kate Winslet upset some eager fans on a flight from London to Boston last week when she promised to sign some autographs, then never did. Susan Roberts, the mother of the two teen girls who requested the autographs, was severely disappointed in Winslet's failure to appease the girls.
Roberts told the tabloid, "My two daughters asked for an autograph about half an hour into the six and a half hour flight and she told them she would come back later and visit. Well, that never happened. It was very sad that she couldn't be bothered." Of course, But not everyone believes celebrities are obligated to sign autographs at every opportunity. Especially on a six-hour flight. Do you think Winslet was being rude, or was she justified?

I have seen a few of these happen, once she does it for one, another comes along, then another. on a Honolulu to LA flight that takes 5 hours, a celeb and his wife spent over half signing or taking photos. HOW RUDE for people to expect celebs to GIVE UP that much free time on a vacation.Think about every time they went in a restaurant, took a walk, walked into a store, sat on a beach, there was another person, with another camera.
No wonder they usually charter flights and stay at isolated, privately owned villas
In this case, she probably meant well, but after six hours of flying, her head was on other things and tired, probably. Think about it, they are trying to live and go from place to place, having to always be "on" and reciprocal to the public, or they might appear unpleasant.
Sorry if it was not a public event and just happenstance then a person no matter how famous has a right to some space! Years ago I was seated at a table next to Arnold Palmer in a 4 star restaurant. I was appalled at how many people approached him. Poor bastard could not even eat his 4 star food while it was hot!
