Oh no! Someone's making fun of Catholics. I don't see them raising a fuss when a movie makes fun of other religions.

What, you don't remember the uproar from the Vatican when South Park made fun of scientology? You haven't seen all the Catholics protesting the showings of The Book of Mormon? Yeah, neither did I.

Catholics have under reacted to the many rapes of children in the care of the church, so they have no value in my world. Let them burn in hell with their truth god.

    Dam Right!!!

I grew up watching the stooges and I was looking forward in taking my 2 younger children to see this film, but how can I take them to see a movie where our faith is minimized to a mindless joke.
We are a practicing Catholic family so how do I explain a nun in an almost bikini to my kids?
Because of this, I wouldn’t rent this movie for $0.99.
I tell you, Hollywood is getting stupider and stupider by the second.
So when is Hollywood going to mock the Muslim religion???

    GEEZ. Overreact much?

    Check these out

"Four Lions," which received mixed reviews when it premiered at the Sundance film festival earlier this year, hits cinemas on May 7 and satirizes a group of hapless Muslims who decide to blow themselves, and others up during the London Marathon. http://www.reuters.com/articl...

"The Infidel," which opens on Friday, follows Muslim family man Mahmud Nasir, played by comedian Omid Djalili, who discovers he was in fact born a Jew called Solly Shimsillewitz. http://www.reuters.com/articl...

"The Dictator" It is definitely Sasha Baron Cohen’s most controversial (and daring) movie yet. In ‘The Dictator’ Sasha Baron Cohen plays General Aladeen, a North African dictator who “risked his life to ensure that democracy would never come to the country he so lovingly oppressed.” A combination of Muammar Gaddafi and Saddam Hussein, and probably many more in between, Sasha Baron Cohen’s new film treads dangerous waters as it tackles sensitive issues regarding Muslims.

Hollywood isn't biased. They'll make fun of anybody they think people will pay to laugh at.

You see, everybody gets made fun of. There are always people who look at things from the outside and see things that are just ridiculous. Then they make fun of them in their own way. It is well within their rights to do so and if you're so thin skinned that a little jab upsets you than maybe you need to seek a little more peace with Jesus.

I'm "guessing" here that maybe they didn’t want to piss-off the Muslim community.

Sadly, Christianity in our Country is always the "punch-line" of crude jokes.

I don't think it is right to offend any religion on purpose, but comedies usually do offend all kinds of groups and people. I am offended by the large amount of Priests that molested young people in their congregations over the past 50 years or more that were hidden by the church, so they need to back off. They are not exactly the flavor of the month religion

A little too much of a touchy subject, in my opinion. I'm not offended, but I do try to respect other's beliefs, so making a mockery out of an expectedly respectable belief/religion is just a little out there for me. But I'm not going to hate on Ms. Upton, personally...She's a beautiful woman, but apparently she'll do anything for some money. Ha!

"Dude, it's not child molestation. Almost all of them were pubescent boys and that's statutory rape!" I seriously was told that once in earnest, in defense of the molestation scandal with the Catholic Church.

What would you expect from Hollywood? If you were really devoted to Christ, you probably wouldn't be wasting your time watching such inane drivel as this movie. If you are going to watch it, don't be surprised if Hollywood mocks religion. They do it in most of their films in one way or another. The whole idea of Nuns, Priests, Cardinals, and Popes is not in the Bible anyway.

Well, I will admit at first I thought "Oh, what the hell! It's just a stupid movie." But then I got to thinking of all the things that I, as a Christian, am offended by. First of all, I am offended by Homosexuals. Men AND Women. I am offended by Jews, I am offended by Thieves, I am offended by Murderers, I am offended by Obama, So I suppose I am just offended but really can't do anything about it because Homosexuals now have laws passed by Men and Women to protect them, Jews have laws passed by Men and Women to protect them. Obama has the CIA and Secret Service to protect him. Only Thieves and Murderers really have anything to worry about in this country.
