Kate Upton, the 20-year-old bombshell who graced the cover of this year's Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition, knows what's up. She isn't about to delude herself into thinking her male fans want her to "be herself." She has assets, and she's not afraid to use them. But she does say she has awkward moments. Upton told GQ, "It's like any job. You find your strengths and play them up ... I grew up in Florida riding horses, so for the majority of my life I was either in boots and jeans or a bathing suit. I understand why my male followers like me." But there are drawbacks, too. Her love-life has been the subject of a lot of speculation, so she promises, "I'm going to be less emotionally involved this year." What about you? Yes, but they involve me being fully clothed in a lab coat doing what I love. She has a hot body, she can flaunt it if she wants to because, believe you me, once she pops out a few kids those big boobs will never be the same.

I can't rely on beauty as much, but as a result, I have friends who like me for me and not for how I look. I get more genuine people in my life that way. Being beautiful sounds appealing many times, but is tempered by how many people are deceptive just to exploit it.

I can't relate to exhibitionism at all, so I can't really say I've been in her situation — where I have to utilize otherwise controversial aspects of myself as an advantage in life.

Exhibitionism is only exhibitionism to the viewer. To the "exhibitor", it's merely being themselves, being comfortable in their own skin, much like others in a favorite T-shirt and jeans. It's sad they have to cover up to make the more uptight, less secure people more comfortable. There's no clothes in nature;) And no, people, we don't need any bible quotes to follow. Not everyone lives by it...

Since it's only a perspective, yeah. Nonetheless, Kate's job description pretty much matches the definition. And it's not as if I have an issue with it, so I'm not bias in ascribing her to the term.

She doesn't need to cover up if she doesn't want to, and if she feels comfortable showing herself, then good for her. Doesn't mean she's not an exibitionist.

of course, everyone does!
However, I can't get over how many people here (mainly women) have found it necesary to passive/aggressively attack Kate's use of her strengths.
It wasn't a part of the question, but it does raise further questiions.
