No one could have ever predicted that a seemingly harmless radio prank orchestrated by two radio DJs in Australia against the Royal Family in London would lead to a suicide. But when the disc jockeys from Down Under rang up Kate Middleton’s hospital recently, a bad imitation of the Queen led to the death of a nurse who transferred the call to the pregnant Duchess’ room.

News that Jacintha Saldanha had taken her own life following the prank shocked the world. But the 46-year-old nurse left three suicide notes that will hopefully shed some light on the tragedy. While all of the details have not yet been revealed, Saldanha allegedly discusses how she tried to cope with the intense scrutiny that she was under following the prank.
And reports are surfacing that in another one of her notes, she points a finger at the staff of the King Edward VII Hospital for the way they were treating her. Although it’s not yet confirmed that she is referring to the period after the infamous call from the “Queen,” it’s safe to assume that is the case.
Further details will most likely clarify why Saldanha made the choice to hang herself in the nurses’ quarters. Until then, what do you think? Is the hospital to blame for her suicide?
Societies DAMNABLE desire to blame others for one person bad actions is out of hand ridiculous. SHE decided to kill herself and I guarantee there was a lot more going on than simply being pranked by a DJ. She had other issues, like maybe a bad hubby, LONG distance from her family, kids not behaving, THIS is a no fault suicide.
Looking for a scapegoat every time a person kills themselves or others is ridiculous.
Blaming Kate for having severe morning sickness it to blame all women for the condition that plays havoc one women to many differing degrees. I am sure you have seen, heard or been one who reports to a hospital for severe discomfort from a cigarette burn and demanded immediate treatment. Trivial for one may be threatening to anothers health from dehydration and so much muscle stress and exhaustion that medical intervention is necessary.
Suicide is terrible and so many people do not get any help when the idea of it as a remedy to bring a quick cure to problems they either don't know how to face or do not want to face. People are often made fun of over mental problems. The mentally retarded are a good example many people seem to just not want them around and many would prefer if they were all dead.
We have more and more wild gun incidents of people killing family and rank strangers for no seemingly real reason because some mental issue has gone to the point of explosion. Who is at fault? Well we all are because we care about nobody but ourselves. Life is so tough it is hard to think about things larger than our own survival and enjoyment.
The hospital should've had protocols in place for such events.
All the time people are killing themselves for things that are so easily overcome.
It's a tragedy every time this happens, yes. But I feel like we as people are just becoming giant.. well, pussies.
I am in no way saying that life is easy, nor am I saying that suicide isn't a viable alternative. What I am saying however, is very simple. Take some personal responsibility, and quit blaming someone else, when someone pulls their own trigger....Just a thought...
