A women's magazine has finally "landed" Kate Middleton for the cover. Only problem: She never agreed to pose. The Duchess of Cambridge appears on the cover of Marie Claire South Africa's latest issue, despite her vow not to work with any magazines for the time being. In other words, the cover is a fake -- or as Marie Claire writer Marisa Crous puts it, "a fan art tribute."
"We were so inspired by her fairytale wedding and her life as a modern-day princess, which is why we elected Kate Middleton as our cover star for the August issue," Crous writes, according to Yahoo! Shine. "But upon closer inspection, the cover is -- much like her life -- more fantasy than reality. The cover is actually a hyper-real illustration of Kate, meant to be a fan art tribute to fashion's new royal icon."

Editor Aspasia Karras adds: "We have honored her with a fan-art tribute, dressing her up in clothes by South African designers and placing her in all sorts of fun, everyday situations." However, some readers thought the cover was more fake than fun. "She didn't actually pose for the cover?" one wrote on magazine's website. "How is that a good thing? Aren't you cheating your readers as well as your cover subject?"

She's a part of the royal family, now, and it's impolite to address her by her maiden name. Maybe, if she and William divorce, it would be appropriate to call her that, but that hasn't happened yet, so call her 'Duchess Catherine'. Did anybody ever go around, addressing Princess Diana as 'Diana Spencer'? No.

To me Diana was interesting, because she was so wronged by the Royals and still TRIED to have a life anyway where she could be happy. Charles is a royal dick!
To me, I'd like to meet Prince Harry...seems like a fun kid.
Kate and William? I wish them well, but I don't really care what they are doing or not doing!
