All of these websites could seriously use non-techie advise, who let programmers and business majors run social entertainment websites anyway. If some of these sites hired the creative people of this world for more than designing buttons and ads... Maybe some of these dry old fashioned tried and failed ideas, would work.

I doubt it'll ever be a hot site again.

The new owners may be able to turn it into a successful niche site. It's still got enough traffic for that.

But, given the damage done to it's name, I suspect it's going to limp along with a formerly famous name. It'll be the Boy George of websites.

People like to look forward and like new things. MySpace has long lost it's appeal don't think it will get it back.

Don't think he's creative enough to do it.

If anyone can do it, I bet he can. I used to love myspace because of all the music ability associated with it. Then everyone went facebook so I haven't been on in years. But, if he makes it new and interesting then people will flock to it.

First Myspace was a great social network. They then chased off their core users by focusing on music almost exclusively. They then chased off most of their music users by trying to compete with Facebook. So right now it's totally rudderless and effectively useless. IF Myspace can create it's own space by focusing on a niche, then they can survive and be viable. If they keep trying to be something it's not, it will be the next AOL.

Yes it on trial testing right now, but you can go to this link and look at some of the things it will offer and also get on the email notification list with them that way when it's ready to go they'll notify you. The link offers an interactive tour.
