Justin Bieber's Private Jet And Other Silly Purchases: Right to Spend or Too Extravagant?

Justin Bieber is a 17-year-old bazillionaire who probably hasn't learned to save his loads of hard-earned cash yet. So we guess we shouldn't be too surprised at some of his frivolous purchases. But $19,000 for a single trip on a private jet? We're just glad he hasn't bought the $22 million Cessna Citation X jet yet.

Thanks to Bieber's photo-sharing Instagram account, fans everywhere can see what Bieber's up to by the pictures he posts...as well as how much the pop star is spending on a daily basis. In addition to the $19K a pop private jet trip, Bieber has spent a few gazillian pretty pennies on other luxuries too.

Those items include a Ferrari F430 ($200,000), a Lamborghini Gallardo ($200,000), a chartered yacht for two ($300,000) and a Chick-fil-A chicken sandwich ($2.75.) OK, so that last thing isn't exactly a frivolous purchase, but it is delicious.

Anyway, here's a photo that Justin's music video director (and good friend) Alfredo Flores tweeted while aboard the flashy jet with the following caption: "BOOM BOOM POW! @JustinBieber @SelenaGomez...See the creeper?"

justin bieber selena gomez justin bieber jet

That creeper is Justin's bodyguard in the background by the way. And the dude sticking his tongue out is Mr. Alfredo Flores himself, just in case you're wondering.

But, back to the point. Do you think Justin Bieber's private jet purchases are too much -- or does he have a right to spend spend spend?

He should be saving up for his inevitable future drug problems and / or alimony payments.

Nope MTV will pay him 20 grand to be on celebrity rehab. That will be enough to keep him in crack for a few xtra months.

Alimony shouldn't be a problem... gay marriage isn't legal in too many places yet.

If you have money and you pay taxes on it, then gosh yes, spend away!

Unlike a lot of celebrities, Bieber has yet to toss his morals and virtues. At last check, he still prays and acknowledges the Lord Jesus.

I need to look up if he tithes. If he does, I'll buy his crap just to endorse his good brhavior.

I love Justin Bieber THE PERSON, but not Justin Bieber THE SINGER.

Still, I feel that he is using his fame responsibly enough for him to be a good role model. If he tosses some loot for a fine automobile or a yacht, why is that bad? Better a good boat than a strip joint. ;)

If he were a proclaimed republican I bet no one would say a word about what he does with the money he earned... they would be trying to help him save as much as possible on taxes.
The guy you called a creeper is in front of them taking a picture and Selena's silly face does not indicate that he is a creeper ...why would you call him a creeper??

Why do you have to say something stupid like that? This is not about politics. Anyway it is usually lobs who try and tell people what to do with their money.

He has the right to spend his money how ever he wants but one kind of hopes he would play it smart and save that money for when his 15 mins of fame is up. Teen girls are very fickle and change their tastes quickly.

Look at how many former big time celebs have come forward saying they are completely broke now. Word has it Sly Stone (who was big in the 60's & 70's) is homeless. Probably spent a lot of his money when he was popular...thinking he'd always be right there.

It's too extravagant, which is why it makes me happy! I want him to spend spend spend like crazy on dumb things, so he'll end up broke, homeless, riddled with smallpox, selling a kidney for money to buy Flintstones vitamins, and selling favors to sailors. Really desperate one-legged sailors. Only then will I believe that there is justice in the universe.

The Gallardo was a gift from Diddy for his 16th birthday, When we make over 50 million in a year we'll know best how to spend it too. He has movies and TV lined up for the next three years anyway.

Sure he has the right to spend, but this is just the kind of gay liberal idiot that will when it grows up try to force the rest of us to walk to work, and live 4 generations in the same 1000 square foot home with a low flow shower head, and a "green" toilet, to be more "green", while they jet around, living in a 10,000 square foot home they keep 70 degrees and refuse to close the windows.

Bieber isn't a liberal. He is still professing Christianity and maintains a family friendly attitude. I met a man who had a friend that met Bieber. They said he was very humble (for a singer/star) and exceedingly polite and gracious at hosting, even if it was but a packed line of backstage autograph seekers. He's a good man but a bad singer.

It is HIS money, earned honestly from people who voluntarily paid for his music or to see him perform. We let government steal everybody's money and waste it in all kinds of unaccountable ways (including using it to kill people), so how dare anybody complain about somebody being extravagant with their own money.
