Justin Bieber's new album, "Believe," was projected to sell over 400,000 its first week -- more than enough to send it to the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200. Well it didn't quite make the mark, but 374,000 was still plenty. The 18-year-old's mentor, Usher, was last week's lucky star with "Looking 4 Myself," which made the top with a mere 128,000. Not a problem for Bieber.

The debut also marks an interesting milestone. "Believe" made Bieber the first artist in history to debut four different albums or EPs at the No. 1 spot while still a teenager, and he's got another couple of years to stretch that record out. And we thought Bieber Fever was coming to an end... Can you believe Justin Bieber's "Believe" made the top of the charts, or were you expecting it?

I belive that music is art and art is supposed to have meaning. What kind of meaning does Bieber puts in his songs? "Girl your beautiful please be my girlfriend"? Most of Biebers lyrics talks about nothing but teenager relationships. Biebers music doesn't have any meaning at all, thats why the only kind of person who will ever apreciate his "art" are stupid teenager girls who are alienated by the media. You should apreciate art for its content, not for the image of the artist.

I'm not shocked by his success among the easily marketable audience of preteen girls who aren't developed enough to know what decent music is. By keeping all of the great indie music underground, the music industry is keeping other people ignorant of any other influences, creating a huge monopoly on an entire art, it's truly sad.

I don't really like his songs but the kid can sing and anyone denying that can GTFO cuz the only reason ppl hated this man was because he had a high voice, chicks loved him, and the radio over played his songs (wasn't his fault), but come on ppl been hating on him seen he was a 16 year old kid. Juist curious, how is it you are so sure.........some kind of personal experience with him, you dated him, you're having his love child, he told you he's not, he hangs out with girls, he's always seen in strip clubs featuring women, he's always the go to guy when planning a bachelor party? It's nothing to be ashamed of, but lying about it is.......
And just for the record, you really should get some tutoring yourself, and for everybody else that might be reading this, I have never had any sexual contact, nor have I exposed this person to any of my personal life so as to provide the type of information this little girl has put together to come to her conclusions about my personal life, just sayin'.....

Not sure where you get your information from about my personal life, but my relationships are more about quality than quantity, and last I heard, Ms. Gomez grew up after she found out he was gay and kicked him to the curb. What upsets me the most I guess, is that he is ashamed of his sexuality and lies about it, I just can't stand a liar.

I'm not going to lie, wasn't interested in buying his latest CD and then a friend of mine played it, and I really dig it. Some fun music, and he surprisingly still has a very nice voice even though his its has dropped a lot since he first came out.

So many of the young girls drive this part of the industry. Whomever they happen to like at the moment is going to ride the crest in sales, appearences, etc. He better enjoy it because it is fleeting. Just look at all the "where are they now" people who enjoyed fleeting stardom.
