They're not "blah", they're usually just juvenile. SOME are beautiful. But not Taylor Swift-like ones: sorry, if you've broken up with 20 people in the past half year, nobody cares anymore. Or Justin Bieber ones, because it's Justin Bieber, and I would rather listen to fingernails on a chalkboard.

There is an old fashioned bit of advice I would like to give both Bieber and Taylor - "You don't kiss and tell".
IMHO, the only activity that comes close to this activity is prostituting yourself.
Maybe Bieber and Taylor should date and break-up. Which one would get their single out first?
It's beginning to seem that Taylor has some major psych hang-ups. She should move on to other aspects of life instead of being stuck with how painful break-ups are. She SHOULD be more mature by now.
I'm agreeing with Michael J. Fox. I wouldn't want either one of my sons dating this short-circuited chick - unless they signed a pre-dating contract giving him 50% of the ownership of the song and 50% of the profits, including residuals.

Yeah BUT the thing is is that it's ok to write 1 or 2 songs about a break-up, after all they can make really catchy songs and music allows mucisians to express their feelings and just lets them pour their heart outs, and JB hasn't written many songs about break- ups " Baby, As long as you love me, Boyfriend, One Less Lonely Girl, One Time,) he doesn't usually write songs about break-ups, however I agree that Taylor needs to stop writing about break-ups

Well..... They CAN be beautiful in the sense that it sound good. And I think it's very good to just let your emotions and your feelings be written into a song. Songs are supposed to be about experiences, and this obviously was a big experience for JB, so maybe he fet the need to write about it in a song w/o sounding mean or anything. I think it can be beautiful but also there are break-up songs that make me just want to

Good break up songs are a work of art, the ones you hear today, not so much. Here's an oldie break-up song from the 60s that I think REALLY gets the message across. At one point the relationship is even compared to the killing floors of a slaughterhouse. Ouch!

I think break up songs can be beautiful, if they're real.
Like, I just listened to Justin's and I was tearing up... Mostly because I was just thinking about him and Selena and how they dated for so long, and they were a cute couple and they looked so happy in their pics... you know that song came from the heart
However, listening to the millions of Taylor Swift break up songs, they never really get to me. I'm not thinking of her and and another person and feeling empathetic, because she's advertised to be with a new man quite often.
