Justin Bieber Sued for $9 Million Over Hearing Loss: What's the Loudest Part of a Concert?

Justin Bieber is being sued by a woman for $9 million after getting hearing damage from his screaming fans at a concert. The disgruntled concert-goer claims that when Bieber flew over the crowd in a heart-shaped metal gondola (uh, really?), he was egging on the prepubescent shriekers.

The woman took it even further by saying "the gondola that Justin Bieber was suspended in acted as a sound conductor, creating a sound blast that permanently damaged both of my ears." Time will tell who is at fault here -- although we have a strong hunch we know who will win -- but in the meantime: What do you think is the loudest part of a concert?

ROLLINGSTONE.COM reports:
Justin Bieber has been hit with a 9 million lawsuit by an Oregon woman who says a screaming fan permanently damaged her hearing at one of the pop star's shows.

Wow.. You go to a concert KNOWING there's going to be loud music and screaming, why in the hell would you not bring earplugs? -.-
    It's her own fault.

And now I'm mad at myself for standing up for Bieber..

in a JB concert, or similars, it is the fans, in other concerts, the music, it depends.

To be honest being sued for the place being too loud is a joke, you go to a concert at your own risk knowing fine well that it will be loud. If you have a problem wear earplugs or don't go...

I've never been to one but my mom and brother said they could barely hear the music over the screaming when they went so i'm going with that.

The music is the loudest since they crank it up to try to get it out over the screaming fans. Its like this in any concert. You got a problem with it don't go. I can't stand Bieber but its not his fault this is just one more gold digger trying to make a buck off someone famous. What the heck did this idiot think she was going to a symphony concert. If both of her ears are damaged I guess the next concert she goes to she will be suing because the band didn't have the volume turned up enough for her to hear it.

I have one saying for her: GET A LIFE (and a job)

I don't really wear earplugs, but it was an amusing answer...

Am I the only person that would (almost) be willing to pay $9 million to never be able to hear Beiber again? This woman should be happy for such a fortunate "mishap".

What the...? First of all, she's suing the wrong damn person. Like Bieber handles the sound there - he's just preforming. Lady, if you think it's too close, move further away, no one's chained you there. Something like that would only work if everyone around her got their ears blasted off. Crazy woman. Not defending Bieber necessarily, but woman needs to get a clue.

At a Drake concert, we stood in the pit right next to the speakers. The bass literally jarred my teeth. I felt like my brain was shaking. Don't get me wrong, I love bass, but when it feels like I'm a baby getting shook by an abusive parent that's not cool.

I work concert venues, so I've been to a number of concerts inside and out. I have to say it's rarely the actual music, most of the time it's the fans. My boss almost mandates ear plugs, I'm use to it though. I've come out with my ears ringing before, but it doesn't happen as much anymore. But teenage concerts do reach a un-natural pitch that can mess with your brain... believe me I just worked a 1 Direction concert and it was ridiculous! Pretty much what happened for 3 hours: screaming girl GIF screaming girl gap kids GIF

In Bieber's case it's definitely the fans.
A woman should know better about the Bieber concert experience.

to be honest, it all just depends on who it is. like if it is justin bieber, the screaming fans are SUPER LOUD. but in other cases, the music is louder because there are not a many screamers.

I actually went to a concert on that tour. He flew over the crowd twice, once in a heart shaped thing, and again in a hot air balloon shaped thing. Yes, Beliebers everywhere tend to scream when he gets that close to them. Any fan of any artist is going to scream at a concert. If you can't take it, don't go. Justin really doesn't have control over anyone who decides to scream. Why isn't she suing the parents of every person who attended the concert? Oh right, because she's an idiotic attention whore.

Oh, come on. It's her fault for going to the concert. What did she expect to happen? I have hearing damage from concerts, and you don't see me blaming anyone else for it. These are battle scars. So if you can't handle it, do NOT go.
