Esperanza is awesome.
:)
so he has time!
Who votes for the Grammys?
I wouldn't be proud to win any award at all. If you believe people who tell you that you're great, then logically you must believe them when they tell you that you suck.
Film, music, it's all the same. These awards shows are administrated by governing bodies -- insiders, if you will -- who seek to reward their own. There are awards shows decided entirely by popular votes, such as the American Music Awards and the People's Choice Awards, but they are rarely considered to be as "prestigious" as the Oscars, the BAFTAS, the Grammys, et al.
Frankly, I couldn't care less about any of them.
Yes, it was aired in NewYork last night. It aired the 6th January in the UK.
Film and music is not the same. Music is a very, very personal taste. Most people like most films.
The BAFTA awards did not air January 6th. The nominees weren't even announced until January 18th. The awards were held over the weekend. Feel free to post something to support your claim. In the meantime, here you go: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/cu...
Film and music -- and all art, really -- are ENTIRELY the same. If you think that people can't be as subjective and personal in their film tastes as you are in your take on music, then you haven't been around people for whom cinema is a serious intellectual, artistic and/or academic concern. Some people treat film and music as mere entertainment, as eye/ear candy. Others take it seriously and treat it as sublime expression of craft and art. In both cases, however, popularity doesn't translate to quality. Neither does obscurity, for that matter.
Stop posting that link, I've already followed it.
I don't know which BAFTA you've been wathing, but it's certainly not the same as I have.
From the Academy's own website: "This year's celebration of the very best in film took place on Sunday 13 February at the Royal Opera House in London's Covent Garden."
For goodness' sake, Annie, don't piss down my back and tell me it's raining. The BAFTAs took place last night. Admit you're and move on.
Here, you can have my coffee, I've had enough today.
Women are never wrong. In our heads, we are always right.
By the way, it's raining. ;)
But seriously though, I bet he was a bit disappointed..I feel a teeny bit sorry for him.
