Justin Bieber and One Direction Snubbed by Grammys: Fair or Foul?

How is it not fair?? Really your gonna go and bitch about the fact that your music didn't get an award? Well guess what there are a LOT of AMAZING artists with fantastic, well written, and wonderfully preformed songs out there and they NEVER get noticed. You think that your crappy little song about some girl with very little thought put into it is REALLY worth ANYTHING??? The ONLY reason they are famous is because young stupid girls think your cute. The music industry has gone to hell and I for one am extremely excited to see some half- way decent artists wining awards! I know that 3/4 of the world (the non- screaming little girl part of the world that is) agrees with me. You little fan girls will grow up one day and probably will look back and just laugh at Justin Beiber and One Direction's crappy meaning less songs, nothing special looks, and lack of true talent.

Justin Bieber and One Direction are popular because the younger masses have shifted to listening to poor quality music because they find those who sing it "attractive" (despite the fact that Bieber and one direction aren't, really). Justin Bieber and One Direction produce music with repetitive, simple, non-meaningful lyrics with that are also musically simple. The Grammys isn't "snubbing" them, they're just recognizing the difference between good music and trash. I mean, I'm not fond of Arcade Fire's whiny vocal sound, but at least they have good songs.

It seems to me that music acts whose target audience is teens have nearly always been seen as unworthy of a Grammy nomination regardless of actual talent. In some cases, it's a fair evaluation. In others, it may not be. I'm not on the board that chooses nominees but I will trust their conclusions.

In case people haven't noticed, the Grammy's are for talented musicians- not so called fit musicians with the most number of screaming whores.

They may be slightly talented, but they are not grammy-worthy in the least.

The only reason he gets votes on other award shows, is because of the teeny boppers. He is just another teenage kid who got lucky - and again another teenage kid who goes off the deep end thinking because he is popular, he could do whatever he wants and gets away with it.

I would say it's justified. What's foul is all the other pop and hip hop garbage that get's nominated over the more talented lesser know musicians who actually create their own music and play their own instruments.

Their music is garbage, and they've simply been ignored for better musicians more worthy of a Grammy.

Finally, faith in humanity is restored.

Bieber is the latest Frankie Avalon. I pray it wears-off very soon.

Thing is, I have nothing against Justin Bieber, but I get annoyed at One Direction. For starters to be called musical artists, you shouldn't have to sing on an overrated TV show, you have to do the REAL journey and try and develop, learn and sacrifice a lot of things to prove your love for music and to prove how far you will go. THAT'S how you win a Grammy, and people who win it have worked their mother f*cking arses off. Besides, they didn't bloody win X Factor.

They'll be just fine with Teen Choice awards. Neither of their music is good enough for a Grammy nod, not when you have people like Frank Ocean in the industry.
