Justin Bieber is caught up in a lawsuit with his new buck-toothed archnemesis, Joustin' Beaver. And believe it or not, Bieber is the defendent. "Joustin' Beaver" is an Android game app starring a teenie-bopping beaver who must navigate a river to sign "otter-graphs," and lance any "phot-hogs" that get in his way while avoiding "whirlpools of success." When Bieber's attorneys sent developers a cease and desist notice, the developers took a page from Hustler v. Falwell and flipped the script.

Negotiations proved fruitless, so developers decided to sue Bieber on the grounds that the game is protected by the First Amendment, hoping to score a win with the ol' satire argument. The lawsuit argues that Joustin' Beaver does not attempt to mislead the public regarding Bieber's image, does not "misappropriate the defendant's name for commercial purposes," and does not "dilute the trademark rights claimed by Bieber." In short, they're saying it's all in good fun and should easily fall under First Amendment protection. What do you think about it? Does Joustin' Beaver stand a chance against Mr. Justin Bieber himself?

Its all fun and games until someone gets offended.. But when you think about it and I know from bullying even with edited photos like from photoshop can still hurt the person look what they did to Taylor Launter with a photo edit, all those fans who support the actor/actreSs/singer whatever see that it can be fun and games but only to a certain extent! Barelypoticial loves to make fun of the songs that musicians do but the band members who wrote them can laugh it off, because its another form of saying "Yes! I've been recongized" but I just think what these developers did got way to out of hand. But then again that's just my opinion

Joustin' Beaver wins regardless. You don't mess with First Amendment speech in America. So if Beaver wins the court case (which he probably will) then Justin loses. If Justin Bieber wins the court case then he looks like the whiny little douchebag he is for attacking a harmless satire.

I would like to point out that its likely not Justin that pushed for this in the first place. It's probably the company the owns his records and his image. I still hate him though.
