This bit of hopeful news goes out to all the “Dawson’s Creek” geeks out there. Just this week, Joshua Jackson (aka Pacey Witter) told the Hollywood Reporter that when it comes to a possible reunion show his attitude is “never say never.” But his desire to participate in such an event isn’t driven by nostalgia. As he noted, “If I’m out of work for enough years, absolutely.”

Of course, Jackson might be looking for something to do sooner than he’d like. His TV series “Fringe” has had a strong cult following since it debuted in 2008. But the fifth and final installment of 13 episodes will start airing this fall. Besides the film “Inescapable” and a whole lot of red carpet appearances with his girlfriend Diane Kruger, Jackson doesn’t have a lot of other work on his plate.

That can’t be said for his “Creek co-stars.” James Van Der Beek has a hit sitcom, “Don’t Trust the B---- in Apartment 23,” in which he plays himself. Michelle Williams has become a megastar. With three Oscar nominations under her belt and the starring role as Glinda in Sam Raimi’s “Oz: The Great and Powerful,” it seems unlikely she’s going to want to click her heels and head back to the Creek.
And then, of course there’s Katie Holmes. She managed to settle her divorce nightmare quickly enough. But word is that as she gets her bearing as a single mom in real life, she’ll be playing one on screen as well in “Responsible Adults.” So yes, never say never to a “Creek” reunion. Maybe in the midst of all these other gigs, the stars can find a chunk of spare time to reunite. What do you think: Are you interested in a "Dawson's Creek" reunion?
