Honestly, I am so tired of this "skinny vs curvy" crap. Either way, it makes people feel bad about themselves. Curvy people get upset because of skinny girls being plastered on magazines and what not, but are skinny people not allowed to feel bad too? I am skinny by nature and I see stuff posted on sites (especially facebook) that say things like, "Only dogs like bones" and "Curvy women are better" etc. That makes me feel bad about myself. I've been petite my whole life. People should be trying to make everyone feel okay with their body, not raging wars against which body type is best.

Yeah, my sis n law had to have shoulder surgery because she slides groceries over the scanner at the the store. She's in her fifties and now thinks it would be better (she's way overweight) to go on disability instead of going back to work. I think she should get off her butt and exercise and lose weight and maybe get a different job if her shoulder hurts.
Sorry, tired of working for others that don't want to.
    Yes, I'm a conservative.

Wow, you obviously know SO much about how metabolism and genes work. You're practically a doctor.

I know enough to know that starving yourself to be "fashionable" has nothing to do with either genes or metabolism, and is what leads to deaths from things like anorexia and bulimia. Losing weight isn't always healthy, no matter what they tell you. You can lose too much.

Get ten or fifteen more years on your profile, kiddo, then get snarky. 'kay?

Cool except I wasn't talking about people with EDs, I was talking about people who are naturally thin and don't gain easily.

It really depends on the woman. Some look better slim (& I don't mean ribs showing...) & some look better with a little more to them.

juicebox07; Relax...people will always say & or do mean and hurtful things. Some guys 'prefer' your frames structure, and some like the curves, it's ALL good. I understand you're venting frustrations, but neither body type is a curse. If someboby is morbidly obese, or anorexic, then they have underlying medical issues to deal with. But for the majority that are just basicly healthy... rock what God gave ya! It's okay to embrace your high metabolism, as well as someone go with their curves.

Yes, I know everyone has preferences. I'm just tired of people saying things like "Real women have curves." Am I not woman enough simply because I was born petite? I just think it's ignorant is all. People should use a little tact when stating their preferences.

Men should keep their preferences to themselves unless they're fine with women discussing their own bodies. Small penis? GTFO? Too short? Good bye!

I'm tired of all of the attacks on women.

ummmm...okay NOT attacking though. I don't give a rip either way on that, this whole thing was asking if people think Jordin is better looking as curvy? OR skinny? So I answered, not attacking anybody, not going that deep with this.

I completely agree and admire you for saying that. One of my best friends is very tall and incredibly thin, with no breasts or hips, but it's completely natural and she's been like that since she was a child, and people insult her and tell her her body is ugly and unnatural. It makes her feel awful but nobody thinks she could possibly have body image issues just because she's skinny.

I know right. I used to be very chubby as a kid, now I am very slim to people and some say now you need to eat. It is very annoying and they never realize how hurtful that is to me. I like my body but now I feel like I will be seen as worth less than thicker women or something. I am at my healthy ideal weight for my petite height.

Slim with some curves that don't jiggle. Firm curves I mean. Curvy is a SHAPE btw not a size. You don't have to be thick to be curvy. I wish slim was the word used instead of skinny. Skinny means: unattractively thin. Slim means:gracefully thin. I am slim, 5'2.5" and I am around 109-112 (my personal medical ideal). I still am not straight up and down and have curves mainly b/c of my well defined waist that curves in.
