It's been a while since John Mayer released an album. In the time since he released "Battle Studies" in late 2009, the Grammy-winning musician has made headlines for such notable hits as "My D--- Is a White Supremacist" and "Black People Love Me." He also bailed on Twitter to get his head together. But now The Mayer is back with more songs, presumably about heartache.
Mayer's next album, "Born and Raised," will be based in "organic cowboy guitar sounds," a natural progression after multiple shows with Brad Paisley. He told Rolling Stone, "What would it sound like if I wrote an album of cowboy songs on this guitar under the stars. Every new record I start, a new aesthetic comes in. I can’t help it." And so, like Conor Oberst and Beck before him, Mayer will don long hair, a Bob Dylan hat, and attempt to incorporate a country aesthetic into his next album.

The way you're defending him, one would think you really are John Mayer!
