In an unexpected announcement, John Cusack says he's developing a movie about radio host Rush Limbaugh. For those who don't know, Rush is a notoriously outspoken conservative, while John Cusack is an outspoken liberal. We wonder how this is going to play out...
According to Fox News, Cusack’s company New Crime Productions has confirmed that the film’s working title is “Rush.” The film will be directed by Betty Thomas, who also directed a film about another controversial radio host: the Howard Stern movie, “Private Parts.” She said that they are putting the finishing touches on the script and that Cusack will star as Limbaugh, despite their wildly differing appearances.
Limbaugh’s most recent controversy took place earlier this year, when he called a Georgetown law student a “prostitute” and a “slut” for arguing to Congress that free contraception should be covered by health plans. Does John Cusack's movie about Rush Limbaugh sound interesting?
