Joe Biden to Make Cameo on 'Parks and Rec': Does the Vice President Have a Future in Acting?

It's hard to imagine that Joe Biden had any down time over the last year to engage in any extra-curricular activities. But he managed to carve out a little time from campaigning back in July to shoot a cameo for an upcoming episode of "Parks and Recreation." The V.P. didn't have to go far to get his close-up. The cast descended on him in his own backyard -- filming his scenes while they were on location in D.C.

While some pundits might find the Vice President's appearance surprising, die-hard "Parks and Rec" fans will not. After all, Ben Wyatt might be Leslie Knope's fiancee but the optimistic, local public official has made no bones about the fact that Joe Biden is her political crush.

According to sources, the VPOTUS doesn't have to stretch much for his big sitcom debut. He'll play himself. But he did reportedly add his own personal flair to the scene -- even ad-libbing a bit. Still, viewers will have to wait and see if Biden can carry his debate-winning, devil-may-care presence over to a scripted prime-time TV setting.

If he pulls it off, he might find that he has a career to fall back on after his second term in office with President Obama is complete. What do you think? Does Vice President Joe Biden have a future in acting?

He should not do either. Get as far away from media and politics as possible. Maybe a stand up routine in his nursing home or mental institution.

-Shh... hear that? I'm playing the World's saddest song on the world's smallest violin (mimes playing small violin). It's not that all Conservatives are "butthurt." It's that all Liberals don't know when to stop being "sore winners." Throwing "salt in an open wound" isn't doing you or your side any favors nor solving the problems that this Country is facing. O.K., the President won & got another 4 years in Office. We Get It! Now, the Economy is all his & let's see what he does with it. In other words, he's going to have to either "put up or shut up." President Obama is now going to have to deal with the "Fiscal Cliff" that's coming up. Let's see how he handles it. No more "blaming George W. Bush."
  • jdemme PC Game... 2012/11/12 02:30:28
    jdemme
lol, you say fiscal cliff like there's any chance of falling off of it. Your guys still control the House, and it's the House's job to pass a budget. Unless they're willing to lose more seats in 2014, they'll get it done.

And it's really hard not to be a 'sore winner' when all you've heard on this site for four years is how Obama's ruining America and he's a communist and a fascist and has his own hitler youth and is Kenyan and Muslim and weak on everything and increacing the deficit (which has gone down, by the way), shall I go on?

and now I come here to the Entertainment category, where there's a question about whether you think Joe Biden has an acting career ahead of him because of his Parks and Recs episode, and for about seven posts in a row all I see is the 'no' option with a side comment that says 'and he SUCKS at his current job!' or 'no career in his current office either' or 'he's already a bozo and a democratic clown' or 'he's been getting paid to act since we was elected...' shall I go on?

So to me, it looks like a bunch of butthurt conservatives who are here just to bash the man who just got reelected. And now there's a thread in News and Politics about States succeeding from the Union because of Obama, and one about voter fraud, so I'm pretty sure they're butthurt.

Don't believe me? Go look for yourself.

Thank You for the civics lesson. However, the President is also required to submit a Budget (which the President hasn't done to date) as well. Guess that You may have been asleep during that part of your High School Government Class, huh? The U.S. Congress (both the U.S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate) can accept it or reject it. If the U.S. Congress rejects the President's Budget, an alternative Budget is "hashed out," passed, & sent to the President for either his signature or Veto. As far as Vice-President Joe Biden's "acting ability" is concerned, he should just retire altogether & leave the Politics and/or Acting to "professionals." Honestly, if you want to have this President being embarrassed for another 4 years by the Vice-President's gaffes, I not only question his Sanity, but yours as well. Also, I wouldn't be worried about States want to secede from the Union. I'd be worried about a "Tax Revolt." Sooner or later, It's going to happen. Unless the U.S & World Economy doesn't doesn't go into the Toilet first. "Enjoy The Ride!" I would also suggest some "humility lessons" for You & the President.
