Jimi Hendrix VS. Eric Clapton VS. David Gilmour

David Gilmour is the best

guys you're talking about 2 different things : ' guitar playing ' & ' band performing ' . as a guitar player , clapton is #1 , hendrix is #2 , and gilmour is #3 . ( I must mention that clapton and hendrix have the same ranking when I think about guitar players of all time , when gilmour won't be #3 any more ! cuz there are some other names of course ) . now as a band , pink floyd is better than cream and both are better than experience . that's it . :-)

david gilmour ??? !!! is that a joke ? every note gilmour plays is rehearsed a gazillion times , where as ERIC never plays the same solo twice , and he doesn't change bits only like the others do , he actually plays something entirely different , tone , speed , everything

no I don't think so . this page sucks , like a garage band . they think gilmour is better than ERIC or JIMI ? oh my ! can you believe it ? why should they listen to music when they can't distinguish between GOLD & nickel ? I mean at all ! who can compare that effect-boy with the lord of the guitar ? you know what ? I'm sick of it

and Jimi Hendrix is the second one . Eric and Jimi are above the others ( like SRV , Santana , Page , Gilmour , Beck , ... ) , far away !
people who like David Gilmour , actually like Pink Floyd's music , not Gilmour's guitar playing !!! but it's hard to know , 'cause they're not pro players ! they're just fans ! I like Pink's style of music , too . that's cool . but they had played some of these songs many years ago with Syd Barret , then the guy lost his mind or whatsoever and Gilmour copied his style !!! there are too many players who can play their stuff better than Gilmour !!! you can search the net and you 'll see . but there is no one plays any guitar solo , better than Eric or Jimi . and between them , Eric is better . more talented with licks and ... .

Jimi will always be the better guitarist but all three of them have some talent. Besides Jimi, i have to say David is pretty good.

Back when Hendrix was alive, everyone was high on LSD when he played live. Ask anyone who saw him live, they'll tell you he was much better live.
