People Magazine is reporting that the parents of Jessica and Ashlee Simpson, Tina and Joe Simpson, have filed for divorce. However, they are also reporting that rumors printed in the National Enquirer about Joe Simpson -- that he has come out as gay to his family -- are false.

According to a rep for the Simpson family, the split is “amicable” and there is “no third party involved." They were also adamant that “any other related allegations are completely false,” before adding that “the family appreciates your respect for their privacy at this time."

Tina apparently filed for divorce last month in Texas, citing “discord or conflict of personalities” as reasons. She married Joe, more commonly known as “Papa Joe,” in 1978.

When I think of 'nasty', I think of battles between the two. Poisonous, vindictive behavior. Some of these are just the husband or wife being despicable. Of those, I think Tiger takes the cake.
