It’s hard to believe that there’s anything about Jessica Simpson’s life that people don’t already know and would find all that entertaining. But NBC is betting on the fact that there’s a veritable feast of hilarious little tidbits tucked away that viewers will eat up on TV each week. That’s why they’ve ordered a pilot from the pop star based on her life in which she’ll star in.

Fans got a real life peek at the way Simpson lived back in 2003, when she starred in the unscripted series “Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica” with her then-husband Nick Lachey. They’ve read all about her ups-and-downs in love and her denim choices in the tabloids. They’ve seen her tweet breaking baby news -- not once, but twice -- in less than a year. And they’ve witnessed her drop pounds through her Weight Watchers campaign and watched her wield her design-savvy demeanor as a mentor on “Fashion Star.” What could possibly be left?

The show will be loosely based on the 32-year-old’s exploits as she juggles the responsibilities of being a new mom and the CEO of a business empire. Producer Ben Silverman has high hopes for the series, calling Simpson “a modern-day Lucy with incredible comedic chops.” Devotees will probably just be happy to get more of a behind-the-scenes look. My huge question for anyone that reads this....WHY do all these (un)"reality" shows keep making it to the small screen? WHY do they think we CARE?

She better hope that when it airs my tv somehow is stuck on the channel its airing on, and the remote is lost and im to exhausted from working to get up and change the channel.and not quite sleepy enough to fall asleep. Only under those circumstances Will watch oh and my eyelids will have to be staples so I cant close them as well.
