Jessica Alba really seems like she has a lot to juggle these days, between a successful movie career, her own line of green products and a husband with two kids. So it’s hard to imagine she has time to recycle her cans and bottles let alone have a significant global impact. But the actress has done so much good that she’s about to be honored at the Environmental Media Awards.

The 31-year-old mom will receive the first-ever EMA Green Parent Award
on September 29. She can chalk the honor up to her advocacy for the Safe
Chemicals Act and her Honest Company affordable cleaning, personal care
and baby friendly items.

But Alba isn’t the first star to worry about their carbon footprint. Leonardo DiCaprio is famous for his self-titled organization that focuses on forest preservation, clean water and renewable energy projects. Ed Norton served as the U.N. Goodwill Ambassador for Biodiversity. And many will remember that Brad Pitt’s Make It Right Foundation helped to complete 150 green homes in New Orleans in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.
Or course, it’s hard to live up to the standard set by former Vice President Al Gore, who brought the issue of global warming to the forefront with his film “An Inconvenient Truth.” But Daryl Hannah certainly deserves props for her dedication to the cause including three arrests -- one of which was involved a 23-day sit-in atop a tree. Who do you think is the greenest celeb of them all?

they preach. Al gore tells people not to eat steak, but we know he eats steak, complains about people driving a car, yet he travel around in his own private jet.
Al gore is not for environment.
All the rest of those blow hards can suck it.
Our government adopted the Agenda 21 depopulation protocols to keep green and reduce the pollution. They legalized murder for citizens of nations who belong to the United Nations. Fluoridation and chloramine is part of those protocols.
California stopped AB 2283 bio chemical cremations. They wanted to liquify dead bodies in lye and cook them until the flesh dissolve off the bones and pour it down the drain. We drink toilet to tap, recycled water. I helped get that bill stopped. It will go nation wide and states like Florida, which have adopted AB 2283, is drinking dead bodies in their recycled drinking water. How green is that!!!!
If we all recycle and don't pollute, have one child, we are helping to sustain the planet. We all need to do our part. We have citizens that can't even pick up their garbage, much less recycle.
But our government lobbied by corporations do not pass laws to protect us. We need to adopt the European Ban Chemical list. Stop fluoridation, poisonous chemicals in our water which cause cancer, algae blooms and death.
Why do they label products on the prop 65 list (known to cause cancer and reproductive harm) and sell them to the public? The dentists have signs like that in their offices. They put poisons in our mouth and mercury amalgams.
Recycling is only a little part of the way we should live
