We see a lot of gay male couples on TV ("Modern Family"), but not too many lesbian families. Well, all that is about to change -- thanks to Jennifer Lopez. ABC Family has OK'd a series pilot from Lopez's production company about a lesbian couple and their multi-ethnic assortment of foster and biological kids, which ABC describes as a "21st century" family, The Associated Press reports. Sounds like the female version of "Modern Family," if you ask us.

Lopez will be an executive producer for the comedy-drama, called "The Fosters." Well, she needs something to do now that she's given up her "American Idol" paycheck! Do you think J-Lo's new show sounds groundbreaking? Or is it just another show trying to be hip and "modern"?

I love gays but lesbians make me a little mad sometimes. (Because I'm a straight male so the gays give me more options when it comes to women but the lesbians have to go and even if back out again. :p) But seriously, there should be more variety in family tv. Not all of us are religious theists of the Christian variety. I'd honestly rather watch a show about a non-religious atheistic family (regardless of sexuality) but I'll take anything.

I'm sick of these sorts of shows and i don't want to watch a show about lesbians. This tripe will come on our screens and the promos will become so annoying that hopefully, it will turn viewers off. and just like many other TV shows it's lifespan will just be two or three episodes before they will just axe the series.

Why is Hollywood and liberal politicians are always trying to shove this perverted life style down our throats. Im also tired of people saying Oh your just a homo phobe. Wrong I'm not and I also happen to think it is wrong, Why don't they put this crap on their own cable network channel, so wholesome normal people don't have to even change the channel. This is just more trash TV.

No one is shoving any thing down your throat. Do not like it do not watch it. People in this country have forgotten, and it is on every side of every issue, We are a free country. We choose our lives. If we live it without bringing harm to others why should you care. How does gay lesbian fat short black white what the hell ever infringe on YOU to live your life the way you choose? What rights of yours are being taking away? And just what exactly is it about you that makes you so normally wholesome?

NO, not at all..I think most of what is on tv is trash....I happen to not care if gays marry and have rights, they deserve it..i just don't want to see it on tv....like I don't want to watch the rest of it either. It doesn't matter to me if they are gay or straight, the sexual content does not need to be on tv where impressionable kids will be seeing it..itherwise, they deserve what I have..to be able to live with the one they love, but keep it behind closed doors..

Well it said nothing about sexual content being on the show. Just because it's about homosexuals doesn't mean that it's porn... It's a "normal" family being showed! So I think your concern about "sexual content" and "impressionable kids" is irrelevant (:

Who cares what you think.....there is too much sexual activity on straight shows as well.....and don't tell me that it won't be sexual...it always is and the kids don't need to see it. If the kid is gay, that kid will be gay no matter what, we don't need shows encouraging sexual behavior of any kind for our young kids... but if teaching your kids to be promiscuous if okay with you, then so be it.....some of us have morals.....and obviously some don't....you can be gay and still have morals, it is not that hard...

I never said I agreed with sexual activity on shows. There will always be some in moderation. But they're on shows for adults. It's quite easy to stop your kid from watching those shows if you do not want them influenced by sexual content! But a committed couple on TV kissing periodically is not going to hurt your kid nor does it teach them to be promiscuous. There's a difference between that and porn. Take a deep breath.
And no kidding, thanks for telling me something that I already know.
