The on-screen hero of "The Hunger Games" dealt with an actual emergency on Monday like a real-life hero. According to The Daily News, actress Jennifer Lawrence noticed a young girl who had collapsed in front of her Santa Monica apartment, and stayed with the girl until help got there. Several images were taken at the scene, showing Lawrence in a kneeling position by the girl's side.
Police would not reveal much about the incident, but explained, "[Lawrence] was walking her dog when she saw the juvenile. She stood by as a Good Samaritan until officers arrived and spoke with them. It was a couple of juveniles involved in the incident. It could have been alcohol related. She’s okay." Have you ever come to the aid of a stranger? If so, tell us your story!

Yes+20I was doing X-rays on a lady when I worked in hospitals. And she was pretty beat up. She began to talk to me about it. The husband was abusive. She had tried to leave. But since he was a state patrol he always found her using his cop network. I had a friend who was a counselor and I called him. He got her to safety in another state.

I don't stop when I whiteness car accidents anymore tho. I did that once, when I gave a police officer my phone number as a whiteness and the guilty party (who had no license) overheard and harassed me via phone for almost a year acting like i was involved.
what i find funny is a girl has collapsed, 2 people are over there trying to help her and this douchebag is running around snapping pictures of them.
One that happened just this week a woman's child knocked over a bunch of items on a shelf in the store, I watched several people walk pass her as I made my way over to her, as she scrambled to gather the spilled things, her high-energy child, and another that was sitting in her cart. I started helping and then I guess that inclined the guy who had be standing by to do the same. Eventually an employee came and cleaned the rest up.
It kind of shocks me how many people don't have nice to do things for others. That should be a natural reaction for people, to help. If you have the means or the power then help and if you don't find someone who can.
Another time, there was a girl at school who started having a seizure. None of the other students knew what to do, I did, so I helped while another student went to the office to have someone call 911.
If I know what to do, I'll do it. I don't care who the person is or if I know them. It's just the right thing to do.
These days we either become "organized" Volunteers to help others in thousands of ways, while others go their merry ways until they see someone in need.
There is a well kept field surrounded with low brush, nearby that attracts Soccer players, mostly immigrants. Looking at the calendar and with medical knowledge of ticks, I have gone over several times to inform the group of the approaching Lyme Disease season. Now we are in the prime danger period and whether they find me a friend or not, I won't let then forget the dangers in the low brush or the known ways to protect themselves. Its just being a good neighbor.
