You may have seen SNK's "Neo Geo" tag on those old-school arcade cabinets that let you pick between "King of Fighters" and "Metal Slug," but high prices and rough competition with Nintendo and Sega quickly squeezed the home console version out of the market in the mid-'90s. But right before Neo Geo packed its bags it released the Neo Geo Pocket, perhaps the only real contemporary of the original Nintendo Game Boy. According to G4, SNK is bringing it back.
The new Neo Geo Pocket will apparently have two gigs of storage -- quite a bit more than the original -- and 20 built-in games, including "Fatal Fury," "King of Fighters '94," and "Samurai Shodown." It actually looks about the size and shape of the iPhone, though G4 says it's a bit bigger. It's still unclear when the new system will come out, if they plan on developing new games, or if it will even be available in the U.S. But some quality retro kick-backs sound freshing. We hope Nintendo takes note.

This post doesn't make it clear which system this new device is emulating, or if it's both.
I am wondering if the writer of this post has ever played either system.
They should bring back the Game Boy while they’re at it too.
