Small and intimate In the end it will be more memorable for the right reasons.
On their 50Th they can have a big and lavish celebration with family members and their true friends of this Major accomplishment. Staying married 50 years now that is something to celebrate

small and intimate is good. big and lavish is okay too. either way all that matters is that 2 people are getting married. and weather you have a bunch of friends and family or not many it doesn't matter so long as the focus is on the bride and groom and the joining of 2 families.

Maybe it's just me, but I want my wedding to be very eventful and far from perfect. I want my suit messed up by kids shooting water guns at us as we walk down the aisle. I'd like to have a big food fight, maybe some animals around, and many other things.

When I get old and I look back I want to be able to look back and laugh at it all and think of how much fun it was. That, to me, is what makes a wedding truly memorable. The imperfections.

I think weddings should be about the couple getting married, not about how much money people have to throw around. From what I've seen in my life... the bigger the wedding, the faster the divorce.

That is a great accomplishment! We went to my parents 50th party a few years ago and it was a very special event. Family and friends came from all over the country and it was a super special weekend.

I used to moonlight DJing weddings... I've been to so many weddings I swore I'd never have a traditional one. When I did get married later... it was done the way God intended...

in Los Vegas.

It's an affair between the husband and wife. So, no need to make a big fuss about it. I prefer small and intimate weddings because it's a whole affair between bride and bridegroom. Our vision of weddings nowadays is made up of boring sermons, hymns, cakes and snacks( I don't regret it) and music. It's a great thing to be married, but we should keep it for ourselves as it's personal. Anyway, that's my opinion :)
