I really adore Jackie Chan and his movies. He's very funny and great at what he does. He's an amazing singer, marital artist, actor, and comedian. I'd personally would cry if he retired from acting. But if he decides to I guess I will just continue to collect his past movies and re-watch them forever. And if you do not like Jackie Chan, I disapprove of you. Good day.

Think about it - Jackie Chan has played the roles of: Detective, Knight, Shaolin Monk, Native American, Martial-arts Legend, Karate Teacher, Baby Sitter, Police Officer, Twin to himself, Butler, Spy, Drunken Master? lol, Rouge Commando, Body Guard, Shop Keeper, and all around nice guy who just want to protect his uncle.

If that doesn't add credibility to his "wide range" of skills I don't know what else the man could do to earn a resounding YES to this question.

Yes

Jackie Chan is the comedic version of Bruce Lee. I love his movies and television shows. I loved Jackie Chan Adventures growing up; him and Chris Tucker were a blast in the Rush Hour series.

Speak of Rush Hour. At least one more, Jackie.

He is a great actor however, people want to see him in action movies. That is his nich. Many times actors cross over to different types of rolls and they are quite good in them but the public likes seeing them in the types of rolls that made them famous. An example of this would be the 1984 drama "The Razor's Edge" starring Bill Murray. It was a remake of the 1946 Tyrone Power film. Bill Murray is an excellent dramatic actor and was fantastic in that movie but the public wants to and expects to see him in comedies, that's why the movie didn't do that well. I think Jackie Chan changing gears might not be so well received.....yet. The ONLY exception to this is when stars age...... Then it makes sense for them to change gears. You wouldn't expect to see Sean Connery playing Bond at his age now would you?...... Maybe Bond's grandfather or something?... :P

HE IS AN AWESOME ACTOR OMG I'M A FAN OF HIS , THE BIGGEST MAYBE LETS HOPE HE DOESN'T RETIRE!!!! Seriously he has the best action comedy movies and he excels at them , he doesn't fit romantic or anything else , I would be very sad to see him retire....

Chan is a consummate pro. If he sets his mind to it, he could do it. Of course he has that mirthful attitude, which makes him a natural comedian rather than the serious type.

But he could do it.

Yes Jackie Chan is an awesome actor! I couldn't see him doing anything else but action movies! But I do see why he wouldn't want to do action movies anymore he is getting old but if anyone can pull it off it would definitely be Jackie Chan :)

I am not sure whether I would consider him as a good actor..I am used to seeing him fight all the time I've never really seen him act before. Come on, people would be really pissed off if they saw a movie with Jackie Chan and he didn't at least punch someone in the face.

He's a very good actor, considering that he takes many risks in his stunts. And he's not like those other cliche ultra serious action actors, he manages to make us laugh in some scenes ! I just simply love him.
