All kinds of names have been flying around as potential replacements for Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler now that they have quit “American Idol.” Everyone from ex-“Idol” associates Adam Lambert and Paula Abdul to singing sensations like Mariah Carey and Celine Dion have come up in stories about new judges. Heck, even Charlie Sheen joked with David Letterman about taking the job. But, in a recent interview with ABC News, J-Lo herself threw out a few ideas for her replacement.

J-Lo stated, “I think big. I think Bono or Bon Jovi or Mick Jagger.” That’s not big, that’s enormous. And while these names may be in line with her fellow ex-judge Steven Tyler, who comes from one of the biggest rock bands of all-time, Aerosmith, it seems like Lopez is placing herself in a league of legends, where she may not truly belong.

Sure, Jenny from the Block has had a successful run in the music biz. But Jagger, Bono and Bon Jovi are icons in the industry with numerous multi-platinum albums throughout their decades-long careers. Why not throw Paul McCartney in the mix, while you’re at it? So what do you think: Does Jennifer Lopez think too highly of herself?

Jennifer Lopez thinks way too highly of herself. She is not in the same league with Rock legends such as Bono, Bon Jovi or Mick Jagger. They are talented and their legacies will live on. Jennifer Lopez will be forgotten one day.

While she isn't a great singer, I can think of a lot of worse singers that have made it bigger than her. I don't think she is over the top, but a little full of herself. Sheesh the judges of X factor have less singing talent....sigh...the music industry is depressing at times.

I don't know about the ''J-Lo thinks too highly of herself'' part but I do like some of her suggestions here. My top 7 choices to replace Jennifer and Steven as judges are: Adam Lambert, Carrie Underwood, Kelly Clarkson, Blake Lewis, Jon Bon Jovi, Jimmy Ivine, and Paula Abdul. Randy Jackson either needs to leave as judge now or after this next season. A state vocal competition judge or Jimmy Ivine need to be who takes Randy's spot as judge. Third Idol's format needs changed to discourage people getting votes just cause they are hot or play an instrument (*cough, Phillip Phillips*) and they get honest feedback that is both negative and positive in a perfect balance so that it's constructive and it will allow people to see contestants more honestly than before.

I've never understood her appeal. She does nothing for me, she's kind of bitchy, she can't keep a man, all the buzz started about her 15 years ago because of her giant ass, and I often wonder if Salena had not been killed and the movie made about her life, would we even know Jenny!?!?!?!

Nothing wrong with thinking big. It would be one thing if she picked the person to replace her but I doubt she will. Her opinion of a good replacement is her own and makes no difference. And she should think highly of herself.
