Judging by "Hangover" star Zach Galifianakis' interview in this month's issue of Rolling Stone, it seems like all the guy does is go around insulting people.

The magazine dug into Galifianakis' vast repertoire of celebrity encounters gone awry, as if they were a novelty magazine asking some avid collector about his most prized baseball cards.

Some of his proudest encounters include standing in front of Britney Spears in complete silence for "like 20 seconds"; telling Ke$ha that her music is for 6-year-olds and sends a bad message; and offending Jane Lynch at the White House Correspondents' Dinner after-party.

"I said, 'Nice to meet you, I didn't realize it was Gay Night by the swimming pool.' I walked away like, 'Another good one,' but my girlfriend said, 'I gotta tell you, Zach, that did not go over well. You have to watch people's reactions!'"

At the same time, he admitted that fame has thrown him for a loop.

"I'm not adjusting to fame well," he explained. "It's made me more guarded. I get confused. I'm private, and I'm emotional, and I drink too much. I don't know. I have to figure it out."

I don't know the man, so I couldn't judge his character. But whenever I see that there is a movie with him in it, it's a trashy thing that I wouldn't watch if I were paid.

Jerk? You betcha. This is the same guy who convinced his fellow actors to ban Mel Gibson from a cameo on Hangover II because of his issues with booze and women and yet he found having a convicted rapist (Mike Tyson) have one in Hangover I was just fine.

No, he's not a jerk at all. Though what he says may be controversial, he's still a person with an opinion. Not that what he says is right, or law, he's just saying things for the sake of saying it. He's a comedian, that's what they do. And if fame has been too quick of a ride for him, then he should take personal time to reflect.

Everyone has to understand that he is short, fat, not attractive by any means...he's got alcohol and drug issues...of course he's going to be a jerk...he's over-compensating for his hundreds of short comings...

He is brutally honest and a true cynic in the tradition of Antisthenes. Ironic that he is of greek decent no? It seems like he only lashes out at people who offend him first and/or who have an overinflated ego and thumb their noses at everyone else. With talentless 'entertainers' and spoiled rich brats running rampant in Hollywood it's refreshing to see someone finally calling them out on their BS. A jerk will say mean things to anyone without caring if what they say is true or justified. Zach may be offensive sometimes but he is no jerk.

He just seems like an unintentional idiot to me.

I had a guy that worked for me years back that looked and acted just like him. I made the mistake of taking him to an industry convention with me and he embarrassed the hell out of me. I should have known better.

He's a comedian and they make fun of people...plus there's a good chance what he's saying isn't even true lol He could be saying it to get a rise out of ppl since that's what comedians do.

Not knowing him personally, he seems like a huge dick... And not the good kind you you get laid with or the funny kind like Chelsea Handler. The few words that fall out of his mouth that are unscripted make him. I can only imagine what he would have to say about me though...

What it sounds like is he's trying to be funny/offensive and is merely being offensive. He doesn't intend to be, so I don't see how that makes him a jerk. Maybe a bit of a buffoon...

Besides, Ke$ha is pretty awful.

And no. I'm sure away from the spotlight he's a cool guy. But, he's got a character, actually more than one, and his "Hollywood" Zach Galifianakis character is a jerk. He's kind of like Andy Kaufman that way.
