Deleted my account only in a matter of 3 days and never looked back since.
Most overrated site on the Internet.

Twitter might be the most unique social network out there. It's easy to use, can help get a message out there quickly in real-time, and the folks behind it are still not completely sure how to properly make money off of it. It's a tool that can help you keep up with the news, your friends, and even your favorite celebrities. Well, some celebrities.
Recently, celebrities like musician John Mayer and actors Charlie Sheen and Alex Baldwin have said goodbye to Twitter (at least temporarily). Why they have is really anyone's guess. Many celebs quit the popular social network after making a gaffe or causing some kind of corporate friction. But, even if Twitter is a public snafu waiting to happen, many stars who quit don't end up staying away for long. They just can't help themselves.
While companies like WWE have embraced Twitter and mastered the art of "trending" every time one of their programs is on TV, other companies are still slow on fully engaging in social media. As for individuals, whether you are a big time celebrity or the dude from a small town, watch what you tweet. As fun as Twitter is, it can get people in trouble for tweeting or retweeting the wrong things. It's also starting to get cluttered with spam that won't be the easiest to identify if you're not computer savvy. Maybe those celebs we mentioned left because they knew they'd tweet something stupid or were tired of getting trolled. Who knows?
What do you think SodaHeads? Is Twitter more trouble than it's worth?

the thing i love about Twitter is the immediacy and the ability to actually get to know the people you converse with in real time. It's a much wider and diverse range of info-
and much more respectful- when people act hideously- everyone sees it- they can't hide away in obscure little corners like they do here- and it's much more egalitarian-
there's no obvious slant and bias- no "directing" of opinions like here-
it's much more free- I hang out mostly at C-Span Washington Journal- a much more informed and intelligent crowd. We may have conflicting views- but no bullying.
Yes, I am spammed by some weird thingy but that's in my direct messages and honestly I check my dms once in a blue moon. New bands emerge and its wayy easier than other social networking sites.
Tried again and had a bit more success by subscribing to any and all favourite news, magazines, fave websites and a handful of celebrities I would genuinely like to follow (shows, events).
But still not quite 100% certain of the point or what I'm really doing there. Sometimes news stories will 'break' on Twitter very quickly (but watch out for unchecked rumors and hoaxes too).
BTW: Another one I tried out is this 'Tumblr'. Apparently a fave among a lot of hipster artists but also many others.
You post art, music in a kind of 'blog'. The strange thing is that nobody follows you for a long long time (it seems).
Or at least I have no idea how anyone finds you or what?
But yeah.. I am believing Twitter is far more trouble, annoyance and hype than its actually worth.
I DONT CARE!
Who F#cking cares
Take care,
