He's a great actor, but I can't stand his politics.

Pretty disappointing too, since he's played some true American heroes in his films, be they fictional (as in "Saving Private Ryan" or even "Forrest Gump") or real-life ones (as in "Apollo 13").

Not only is he a good actor, but he is actually a GREAT actor. If one looks at the roles that he has played, one will see an actor with great skills at adapting to many different types of characters.
