    A lost opportunity
It's a lost for America, well, he doesn't see it as a lost opportunity but he said he didn't want to extend Bush tax cuts and what does he do? Extend them.

    A victory
I imagine that the compliant press will treat it as a victory for Obama so it is a victory.

However, it makes premanent the Bush tax cuts for 98% of the people, will add $4 trillion to the debt, add to the already large deficit, reduce the operating room for any stimulus package or some emergency (at some point people will stop lending to us), scare the financial markets as it does nothing to address the fiscal cliff. And does nothing on spending or entitlement reform, as his bipartisan commission wanted.

At some point the press will turn against Obama and the legacy will change. And he will be remembered as a Carter type President.

    It's a deal. That's all.

It has something for everybody to hate and can be spun by either party as a "victory". That the most important part of it from the view of the people making the deal.

He could have shown some leadership (for a change) but he didn't.

This "deal" where the Democrat Senate and Obama have agreed is no deal at all without the agreement of the House.

And this so called deal does nothing at all about our real problems, nothing about our out of control federal spending and of course the Senate STILL can't be bothered with a budget. (1343 days and counting).

Yea but the liberals will tell you they continue to pass resolutions to keep the spending up, a budget it is not.
