Is there always a particular scene in a film that makes you cry?

Okay, you can be watching, the most depressing film in the world, and just be like, 'meh...' Then, there's always ONE scene, in ONE film, that ALWAYS makes you cry, no matter what the nature of the film is. For example, the death of Bambi's mum is a VERY common one, or when dumbo is seperated from his mother, or... an American tale in general.... and yes I'm aware these are all animations, but I'm sorta an animation nut so... yeah. Oh... and bright eyes from watership down, I don't care what anyone says, that film is NOT suitable for children.

A scene in "Elephant Man" where he is invited to be a guest at the home of the doctor who 'rescued' him from the circus freak show. Considering all the pain an torture the Elephant Man has been through, he is very kind, thoughtful and humble. He picks up some of the doctor's family photographs that are in frames and compliments the doctor on a beautiful family. Then he says "If only my mother could see me now with such fine friends. She would be so proud."

Gets me every time - the old lump in the throat stuff. :)

Edward Scissorhands is the only movie that had ever made me at least tear up. It is always at this scene as well. 8<>8
