Is The "YOLO" Slang an excuse for young adults to do stupid things?

YOLO meaning " You Only Live Once" has taught the teenage generation that life should be handled to it's greatest extent.
But, does it mean to risk more adult problems like teenage pregnancy, injury, and even death?
Sure I might be exaggerating, but kids will be kids I guess.
But, has the generation really changed?

Because even older adults can use that slang as an excuse to do stupid things.

"But, has the generation really changed?" ... yes, it has. The consequences have simply been put on the back burner of their minds. No worries, there'll be someone to fix up after my YOLO moment and experience.

But would that help them later on in life?
Knowing that your mistakes won't have consequences could ruin an opportunity.
Sure, the philosophy of living your life to the fullest should be taught to all ages.
But, knowing your choices will have consequences is also a great perk to have in life.
If you rely on others for your mistakes, you're just getting a silver spoon being fed into your mouth. :D

Your words highfly, " teenage pregnancy, injury, and even death?" brought to mind something i saw on the tube. Piers Morgan interview with Michael Vick, the American football player who spent time in prison for his involvement with an illegal dog fighting ring. He explained that his first dog fighting experience was at the age of eight and it made an impression into his young mind that stayed with him until he was sent to prison for his involvement.
