In the wake of Arnold Schwarzenegger's massively publicized scandal, and the emergence of a picture of the blurry-faced child that he fathered, actress Jamie Lee Curtis is speaking out of concern for the child, as well as celebrity children everywhere.

I am ... concerned about how we all are fixated on the children. Looking for expressions of anger and hurt in their sweet faces that the adults have caused them. I'm sure the news media that first posts the images of these children we are hearing about will get rewarded by millions flocking to see if there is a resemblance. We should all be ashamed of ourselves. They are children. They are innocent. We are damaging their lives by our curiosity.

Similar concerns were brought up when the media began criticizing Shiloh Jolie-Pitt for dressing in boy's clothes.

The media is a pile of crap! Harass as many celebraties as you want but why the hell do the media bring kids into this? it doesn't seem fair.

Criticize the parent(s) all you want, but damn it, leave the children alone. I'm not just talking about celebrities' children, either, but the children of politicians, too. The children didn't ask for any of this; it's not their fault their parents are famous, either for being the President of the United States, or just famous for being in several hit movies. I've always thought that the children of public figures should be off limits to the media.

The media is as powerful as you make it. If I had children I simply wouldn't let them watch tv; it is not healthy anyway. I don't even watch an hour a day only the Simpsons. Celebrities should stop posing for photo ops if they find this so annoying.
