At least one analyst thinks Apple may have a tough time selling the iPhone and the iPad next year. UBS analyst Steven Milunovich lowered his iPhone sales expectations for 2013 by 5 million for each of the quarters ending in March, June and September, according to CNET. He also lowered expectations for the iPad, dropping the estimates for each quarter by 2 million units.

You can tell the honeymoon is over when the company willfully disappoints its customers in order to squeeze the last drops of milk from a cash cow. All major tech companies have done this at one time or another.
In Apple's case, they obsoleted the dock connector on IOS devices, devaluing millions of aftermarket accessories. Then they prematurely targeted certain MacBooks and iMacs for early obsolescence by non-supporting their video chips in Mountain Lion. The iMac situation is incredible when you think that they sell it as a computer built inside a monitor. When Apple decides 4 years is long enough for the product to live, no more OS upgrades. Rechargeable MacBook batteries are no longer user replaceable. Memory is soldered in, so there will be no upgrades. They are just begging the customer to look at alternative products. These are the things a company does when they expect to lose market share. The plan is to squeeze the remaining customers as hard as possible.
