"The only band that matters", so the saying goes. The Ramones come in as a close second fave, and the Sex Pistols were a sham. So sick of Johnny's sniveling voice. Now he's just an angry old man.

To name a few: The Ramones, Dead Kennedys, The Germs, Flipper, and Crass are better than the Clash.

I spent many a night at shows with DK and Flipper. SF punk was some of the best in the 1980's. Ruthies Inn, Mabuhay Gardens AKA: The Fab Mab and plenty of other dive clubs.

I loved the Dead Kennedy's, Black Flag, STD, Circle Jerks, Sex Pistols, Blondie, Nina Hagen, The Ramons...I liked the Clash as well but there were so many great bands

my son loved those bands too. i had a group from syracuse stay at my house one time. "still born". they were very nice and played good music.
