ABC production companies Warner Horizon Television, Next Entertainment, and NZK Productions are facing a major lawsuit alleging racial discrimination. Two African-American men, aspiring NFL player Christopher Johnson and friend Nathaniel Claybrooks, auditioned for "The Bachelor" in Nashville and claim they weren't given a fair shot. They say one producer asked them what they were doing there, and never called back.
Executive producer Mike Fleiss, who is also being sued, has already been accused of discrimination, mostly based on the show's lack of diversity. He once told Entertainment Weekly, "I think Ashley [Hebert] is 1/16th Cherokee Indian, but I cannot confirm. But that is my suspicion! We really tried, but sometimes we feel guilty of tokenism ... We always want to cast for ethnic diversity, it's just that for whatever reason, they don’t come forward. I wish they would." Do you think this new lawsuit is evidence of racial bias on "The Bachelor"?

WAY too many folks with a sensitivity issues about all that to make a show both realistic AND entertaining AND non offensive to some faction of the equation.
I think, bachelor is unwatchable. Here's a guy or gal going going out with 20 different people seeing who kisses the best. Tell the others, I will keep you, if theirs isn't better than yours. . .dumb show.
Why do people have these biases? To feel better about their selfs. Listen to anyone thats preaches against another and there is a common theme: we are better and they aren't.
As far as the bachelor, I think, they are trying to target a demographic: the single white women. So, the true question here should be, is it illegal to target just a white or black, male or female demographic? If, it is than advertisements are the next target to these kinds of lawsuits. . .than other race groups will be targeted. . .
I don't see the end, but this is America and anyone can sue to get their day in court.
Or maybe all the minorities are just too smart to get involved with such a dumb show... ;)
I am sick and tired of we have to have some racial diversity just for the fact of racial diversity. Where is the racial diversity on the many Latino TV Channels or the NAACP Awards. If the Whites had an only White Music award people would be up in arms about it.
Gosh people need to grow up and stop looking at skin color and just look at people as they are....one race...human.
