Is Talent Show TV reaching its end?

With viewing figures for talent shows sliding ever lower here in the UK, and viewing figures in the US regularly getting far below what producers and TV moguls expect, is the end nigh for these talent show TV programs like X Factor and Britains/America's Got Talent?

Do we really need American Idol, America's Got Talent, X Factor, AND The Voice? Just one of these would have been great on their own.
